A useful pen to just have in your car or purse in case you need something. the pen itself is smooth and easy to write with and the built in flash light is very bright.

Bought these last year for my son’s stocking stuffer. My husband had another brand and it broke so hit him one to replace for Christmas. The guys love these. Take up no room in glove box, come in handy. Great buy for the cost.

So this product is quite functional and the comments others have left are quite accurate. There are no instructions so I'm going to try and help. Specifically in regards the flashlight. The batteries do not go in the way you would think. When you twist the light off naturally one would think the batteries go in that compartment between the two. But they do not, as you can see in my picture the light stays on even when they are apart because the batteries are located inside of the smaller piece. Many comments say their product came with dead batteries and I assume they simply had them in the wrong place, or you know they might actually be dead. TO CHANGE BATTERIES: there is a plastic ring thingy on the very end of the light piece that pops off. Then a threaded metal cap slides off, then you can unscrew the light and access the battery. As for activating the battery while closed, that's kind of finicky. I found that placing one of the spare batteries in the space where the light unscrews from the rest of the pen is just enough to toggle the light button as you tighten or loosen the light piece. I hope that explanation helps someone. As for construction its quite solid. The level is accurate. Now the phone holder may or may not hold your phone with the case on, it does not hold mine. As for getting to the ink cartridge. You simply keep turning the tip of the pen when you are closing it and it will eventually come off then you can remove the pen's stylus and the screw bit and you'll find where the ink cartridges go in.

I bought this to see if it would be a nice stocking stuffer. This pen is actually well built and writes great. Haven't used it a lot but what I did use performed great. I bought two more, one for my son and one for my brother as a stocking gift.
