Tight and difficult to get snap base (split threaded part) in place, also gasket was a tad small so had to be stretched(not much) into groove, but once in place everything sealed up and no fuel leaks.

08 Gl450. Swapped both pumps on driver and passenger side and bought as replacements. For The driver side it fit just right but for the passenger side did not work at all. Every time I would fill the tank it would overflow from there. The base part that hugs the tank and sits in the grooves would not sit comfortably I had to force it and felt like it was 1 mm too short every time I would tighten it it would pop out .My closest dealer was far and I was kind of in a hurry so I grabbed two used ones from the junkyard and problem solved so go original or keep the original base. You can see in the photo where I'm pinching it. There's a little Gap that's the new one that I bought on Amazon. The one that I'm pinching and there's no Gap is the original one I pulled out from a used car. Not sure if it matters but I feel like that was the problem

2006 w164 - changed the fuel pump and I guess the seal broke in areas not visible. Fuel would leak upon fill up and a strong gas smell would be in the cabin. This fixed everything.
