Worked like a charm! I didn't use it for anything particularly fancy or intensive, just some silicone application for a small project. As someone who has never operated any sort of caulking gun, it was pleasantly straightforward to use. I can't speak to its effectiveness for larger projects or other materials, but I'm happy with what it could do for me.

This caulk gun is comfortable to hold, easy to use and almost completely dripless. It's vastly better than the one I replaced. You can set it down on a rag or paper towel and about a quarter inch of caulk comes out without falling off the tip. Seems to be well built. A nice product - especially for the reasonable price.

This is a great calking gun. I big upgrade from the El Cheapo versions that you might get. Smoother and less effort to use. Recalked 3 bathrooms, two bedrooms around the moulding, and two hurricane windows, and it performed great. Worth it to upgrade from the usual junk ones. Should last foever, which it good, because I am redoing he whole house. Happy I got it.

I used the Newborn 930-GTD Drip-Free Caulking Gun for several DIY projects, and it performed exceptionally well. The drip-free feature is a standout, ensuring clean and precise application without any mess. The comfort grip made it easy to handle during extended use, which is a big plus for someone like me who spends a lot of time on home improvement tasks. The 10:1 thrust ratio provided enough power to handle even thicker sealants without straining my hand. It was smooth and efficient, making my work faster and more manageable. I also appreciated the hex rod design, which prevented the rod from rotating and ensured a consistent flow. One thing I did find is that it can be a bit bulky for very tight spaces, but that's a minor issue considering its effectiveness in regular applications. It's sturdy and feels durable, which gives confidence that it will last through many projects. This caulking gun has quickly become a favorite tool in my collection. It's well-designed, user-friendly, and perfect for anyone who values precision and comfort in their DIY endeavors.

This is a great value for your money. I didn't realize how good this was until I replaced my old one, which still worked but was getting increasingly difficult to use. I wish I had bought it sooner. I have wrist problems, and this made caulking much easier. The extra detailing tools are nice to have.

My people reviewed as it is not drip free, not sure what they are talking about. When I stop, the glue will stop immediately, smooth at applying, I will never buy from other brands

First thing that is super frustrating about other people rating caulking guns is their inability to understand what certain ones are designed for. This is a basic caulking gun with a thrust ratio to allow use with latex and silicone. If you want to use it with other things, you need to look for a more heavy duty caulking gun with a higher thrust ratio.Secondly, a lot of the time, the "drip free" heavily depends on the caulking itself, and not the gun. If you release pressure (which is really simple with this one) that doesn't pull the backing of the caulking tube back as well. So any built up pressure in the tube will push out the contents until there isn't enough pressure to have it "drip" out. Thinner material will mean you will get a drip longer after releasing rod pressure. Release pressure on the gun to lessen the amount of pressure in the tube and always stop putting pressure sooner than you finish your bead to lessen the drip. Because this gun doesn't have the notches, it's really quick to pull back the rod and is A LOT quieter. If you are pushing and the caulking isn't coming out, don't force it. You will either unnecessarily break your tools or have a blowout on the back of the tube. Check that the opening has enough space to allow flow with the thickness of the caulking and make sure there isn't a chunk of hardened caulking in the tube. The padded handle is really nice to have, especially if you don't have rough hands due to constant rough work (again, great for around the house repairs) The metal body is quite thick and doesn't bend easily either. The tip cutter works really well, and having the pin is great when using a tube with puncture foil. I also love that the pin isn't super loose so it doesn't come flying out when using on an angle.Bottom line, it's a really solid caulking gun to have around the house or even on a job site as long as you aren't using it for anything but its intended purpose. Always check the tube itself if it's not pushing out the caulk and never force it with the gun or else you risk the chance of breaking your gun or the tube. Be reasonable and think about the applications. If you want more from your gun, you need to up the quality for a better thrust ration to withstand more pressure.
