Stays charged on solar for 3 weeks on Ring stick up camera that’s defective as other batteries stay charged on solar for over a year. Probably a good battery as I switch it out after it discharges and same happens

Love having an extra battery. When the camera battery gets low we can remove it, and replace this one immediately. And we are up and running while we recharge the low battery. No down time for the cameras. Very pleased!

The issue is these aftermarket batteries are not being recognized by the camera. So if I put one of these in with an OEM battery, or two of these in together, the camera will only recognize one of the batteries so you do not get the benefit of having two. I tried all type of factory reset and rebooting and it works for a while, but then goes back to only recognizing one battery. However, when I put two OEM ring batteries in the issue resolved so clearly it is the battery.

I bought this spare battery for my Ring stick up outdoor camera. It’s a perfect match to the original battery and the Ring logo is printed on the body. The battery arrived with a very low charge, so I had to charge it up before swapping it with the other battery. The camera is not in a location that allows for a solar panel (north-facing under an eave). The spare battery will allow me to swap batteries without removing the camera. In my experience, these Ring batteries take more than several hours to fully charge up. Highly recommended this spare Ring battery if you can’t hard-wire or utilize a solar panel.

So far after a few days the battery is holding strong. However, I do not know % of battery remaining because it is not recognized (see photo). Not a big deal for me as it's just a back up, so when my original ring battery is full charge, I just switch them out again. However, if this was my only ring battery, the fact that the battery doesn't indicate the charge remaining on the app would be a deal breaker for me.
