These work pretty well in an old Canon F-1. The F-1 was designed before Alkaline battery chemistry became fashionable, so its light meter is looking for the 1.3 volts of a Mercury cell, NOT 1.5 volts of an Alkaline cell. The alkaline cell will work, but rumor has it the light meter is not as accurate. These cells are the right voltage for the old camera, and are even Mercury free!

I bought this battery to replace a long-discontinued mercury battery in a decades-old talking calculator. Works fine. I don’t use the calculator often, so I can’t speak to how long it would last with frequent use.

These batteries certainly are not cheap but do work perfectly for your old SLR Cameras. So they do not drain as quickly as some folks have reported so a decent alternative if you want to use these film cameras.

Purchased this for an old light meter I have that required PX625. I was happy to find this and the meter is now working.

I use this on my Canon EE EX camera to power its light meter. I've been using it consistently for about 6 months now and its still going. Ordered another one to have ready for when this dies. will update when that happens.
