These butter knives look beautiful but the tips are very rough and actually scratched the skin on my fingers as I ran them around the tips of all the knives. Some knives were worse than others but I would have expected them to all have smooth tips as the rest of the knife was all smooth and very well made. The other thing I noticed was one one of the knives right on the front side of the bottom of the handle was engravedNEW STAR S/S China. This is not a problem for me as I just need them for everyday use but if someone wants to use these for a formal dining table I think this is tacky being on the top of the knife. Why not mark it on the back like most companies? Strange. But I will keep as I don’t want to go thru the hassle of sending back and as long as the tip issue doesn’t make them rust or something they should be fine for what I need.
