1. The bolts supplied with the step are all 1.5mm thread. The nuts that come on the frame of my 2025 Tundra are 1.25mm thread. The step does have a threaded hole which matches the 1.5mm thread. I had to supply my own finer thread bolts.2. The holes don't line up perfectly, which makes the install more difficult and requires adding a washer/spacer to allow the bolt to tighten the step bracket against the frame.3. The powder coating on my step came with chips in it because of poor packaging.4. The final install results in a little more movement of the step than I am comfortable with. I weigh 165lbs, so I would not recommend it to be used by a heavier person.

First winter the bearings and lever action seized up. Have to strong arm it out and in. Will be throwing it out.

So, I am too stupid to leave my truck alone. It had to be taller. Well, now it is, and thanks to this little bugger, I can still climb in and out of the back without looking like a fat, old oaf. The installation was a pain because the directions were in Swahili. Just throw them away and figure it out like I finally did. It will go much faster...just let your wife think you read them.

The step is useful and helps jumping onto the tailgate and truck bed. Installation was straightforward except for two things. One drilled hole did not line up properly with the stock tow hitch frame on a 2022 short bed limited edition. A drill bit 1/16th inch larger on a drill press fixed that problem. A bumper support did not allow the receiver to fit into the frame. It had to be temporarily removed with a 10 mm wrench and a screw driver to remove the plastic push pin in the bumper. The support could be reinstalled without modification after the step receiver was bolted on and installed.

Product is good quality overall. Had to re-tap one bolt hole as it would not accept the bolt . Took an extra 10min to install other wise it was a breeze and works exactly as described .
