I needed to upgrade some wires for a diode laser on my CNC router, I was getting too much of a voltage drip, so I wanted to go from 18ga up to 14ga. so instead of cutting off my Deutsch connectors and splicing to the old wires, which were too small, or replacing the whole connector, I figured I would just get new pins and use the existing connectors with the new wires. These are great to have on hand so I can do the job properly! you can remove old pins from Deutsch connectors with a very small screwdriver, just push in the tab and pull them out, it's really not too hard. Having a surplus of pins is great! if a crimp doesn't go the way I want it to, I can just cut it off and try again, or if I eventually need to replace cables, I can just put nice new ends on the new cable. 100 pins should last me quite a while, and it's great to have a set like this to do the job right.

If you are not using it often and want to avoid the learning curve in crimping open barrel - go for solid type, they are increadibly easy to get a good crimp. Yes, they are more expensive, but you will save on frustration.Nevertheless, open barrel types crimp well too once you get a hang of it and use quality crimper.This pin kit is nice to have to repair wiring and re-pin existing connectors.

Kit has 50 make 50 female pins and sockets. Quality is on par with OEM at a much better price. Provides a secure, snug, and reliable connection. These are a great replacement when you need Deutsch connectors and don't have or want to shell out a fortune. Overall, pleased with product and highly recommend for any application needing such an item.

These pins and sockets arrived quickly and the fit was perfect for the other brand pins and sockets I had in inventory.The finish is clean, everything clearly marked and I experienced no difficulties in using these for several applications utilizing Deutsch connectors.Yes, I would recommend these and I will be buying more as needed.

I already had a lot of DT connectors that came with these stamped style open barrel connectors, and I needed more so I could re-pin some existing connections. Since the kits usually give you just enough for the connectors included, this refill kit is good for when you make mistakes or have to re-pin a harness with new wires. I prefer this to cutting and splicing when possible.
