Love this product. Works well for my knife repairing hobby. Unsure of water resistance of the material. Comes in a durable little canister. Easily removed for use. Polishes rust off. Good value as it will last me a long time.

Silver, nickel, brass, it doesn’t matter. I’ve been using this for years. It only takes a small piece of the wadding to get the job done. One word of advice, you might want to wear gloves because the amount of oxidation this polish removes will turn you hands black. You can wash them clean with a little soap and water and some scrubbing, but with gloves no problem. This stuff is the real deal and will last you a long time if you keep the lid on tight when not being used.

Used this stuff in the Navy 25 years ago, and just last week on this 43 yr old brass knife guard.

Have never used silver polish that works this great. Tried a polish machine on original Indian head nickel buttons & that didn’t work so I’m thrilled that this polish really works. Joyce

This will polish the darkest tarnished silver incredibly well. But you need to use lots of it if you have silver all in your dining room and cutlery. You must wipe off the item, then wash it if you will be using it to eat with. Lots of steps but cuts through the darkest tarnish like crazy. It just eats it up. You've got to try this for silver, brass, or any metal. It is originally sold in auto shops! I guess to work on your chrome, tire covers, etc. I'm still finding all kinds of metals to shine up! I try to use just a tad, but if heavily covered in oxidation, you will need to use much more. I will ALWAYS have it on hand! Will continue repurchasing til I get too old to clean!

It cleaned a horrible looking copper kitchen sink pretty well (Tarnex removes tarnish the fastest, But it doesn’t repel water afterwards). Smell was strong and toxic. Tarnex fumes are stinky and toxic. I used a clean dry Terry towel to buffed the sink afterwards. Please use with caution and ventilation! Asthmatic people need to wear appropriate ventilators and not inhale the fumes. It could be fatal. I did love that it repelled water after using on the copper sink. Therefore, it should keep the sink clean longer. Time will tell. I think it would work really great on chrome bumpers, etc., on vehicles. Most all copper cleaners are useless on copper kitchen sinks!!! Keeping Copper kitchen sinks clean are a losing battle!!!😡 Copper may look good in a house that is “never” used,…but, “Do Not” put a copper sink in a kitchen that is going to be used!!! It Tarnishes as soon as you run city water over it!!!😡

A wad of gum I get, but a product that claims to have magic wadding properties? - That I gotta try, so here's my wadding story.I made the mistake of leaving a toothbrush I had been using for cleaning an item with in my stainless steel sink. There wasn't much of the Whink product remaining on the head of the toothbrush, but after sitting in contact with the stainless steel sink overnight there was a stain on the stainless (yes, sorry to tell you that word is a bit misleading) that looked like a GM cars from the mid-1980's/early 1990's. You know what I mean, the ones they produced that all had peeling oxidized-looking paint. Anyway, it was a cloudy white color and I tried to scrub it out to no avail. I thought maybe the sink was ruined.I went on-line and read some forum comments on this topic and found one post where someone had luck removing a similar discoloration using a product called NEVR-DULL. NEVR heard of it, but as seems to always be the case, there it was on Amazon. I ordered a can of this magic wadding and when it arrived I went to work on the stain.Within five minutes the stain had all but disappeared, and after ten minutes my entire sink looked brand new. Maybe it really is magic?Since then I've tried it on my pewter flatware and it worked great for that. Same with some silver plated goblets. I can't believe I've never heard of this stuff before. It's so much easier than metal creams and liquid polishes I've used before. If it's good enough for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines, it's plenty good for me and you should consider giving it a try as well. It costs a lot less than replacing a stainless steel sink, so thank you Mr. George Basch, whoever you are.
