I bought this renewed. It worked well for about 2 months and then wouldn't hold a charge. I bought a replacement battery for about $10 and it's been working very well since then. It's unlocked, so it works with my T-mobile and Tello SIM cards. Should work for just about any GSM network. I have a router hooked up to it and it runs off of my inverter and batteries in my cabin. I can check on it from an app on my phone. It's been running for several months in the freezing cold with no problems. The battery drains slightly at night when the solar panels aren't working, then recharges during the day. Lasts about 48 hrs on a full charge with minimal usage.

This Netgear nighthawk M6 works as expected and I had no issues firing it up. Except when I popped the battery so that I could connect it to my router for long-term use in that configuration. We live in an RV so we don’t need to use the battery. As others have said, the provided charging brick does not work because it does not provide the correct voltage and amperage to power the device without a battery. What you need to do is purchase a QUALCOMM 3.0 compatible charging block that provides a minimum of 5V/3A/20W. Also, this must have a standard USB connection on it to a USB-C. No idea why, but that did the trick for me. You can buy them here on Amazon.Overall, great value for a very capable device.

I own property in very northern Wisconsin. I was hoping to upgrade to 5g speed. I use mint mobile sims for security cameras at a camp in a county with no stoplights (Forest county between Laona Wi and Wabeno Wi). Its in the sticks. I had a cheap zte hotspot ( https://a.co/d/69J0NrX ) that was a bit laggy for video streaming when checking my cameras from home but worked well. It was not 5g capable (only 4g) and I figured a step up from the zte brand to netgear would be an upgrage. I also wanted the LAN capability.I can not get a 5g signal AT MY CAMP with this hotspot. The signal is what it is. 5g reception else where other than my camp is great. Reception in 4g mode when 5g is not available is non existent in my camp. I cant load a webpage in minutes (i get failure notification). The zte hotspot I was hoping to replace loads in 2 seconds.I bought antennas. No change. I pluged thrm into the zte. It's faster. This hotspot is great on 5g. On 4g it falls flat. It was worth a try. Until 5g signals arrive in my location my old zte ( https://a.co/d/69J0NrX ) absolutely smokes this unit in a 4g environment. If you know you have a 5g signal I absolutely recommend this unit. If you are in a very rural 4g only area I wouldn't spend the money on this unless you are expecting 5g service soon

I was in the market for a mobile hotspot device to use on T-Mobile, for a permanent private network I could use at work (work network/wifi is pretty locked down for security reasons). This device hits all the requirements:- Unlocked. Even though it was an ATT hotspot, it works flawlessly for T-Mobile as well.- 5g. One of the most affordable options if you want access to the 5g network. As T-Mobile has the widest 5g in the U.S., this was a must for me.- Dual band. Some of my wifi devices are 2.4ghz. Being able to still connect with them, while having 5ghz for the rest, is great.- Wifi + cellular. There is a strong T-Mobile "free" wifi signal near work. This device can use that (and not burn through the data cap), but also use cellular when on the go.- Ethernet port. I prefer to have equipment wired when possible. Lower latency, fewer connection issues, etc. Whe there's only one Ethernet port, I can combine that with a cheap switch to get multiple devices connected failry easily.

So, I bought this for my RV thinking I can use it for my boat in the summer. I bought it along with the external Antenna It really does work great for using the internet with my computer and streaming. Here are some pros and cons:Pros: Gets a great signal. Once in a campground where I was unable to get cell phone service the external antenna got such good signal I was still able to stream to my roku TV which was very surprising. Great battery life and gives off a strong signal for your devices.Cons: The plans AT&T have are pretty expensive and when streaming it uses a lot of bandwidth. Getting a plan with it from AT&T was challenging. It requires a SIM card and since we were traveling, we went to an AT&T store and got one. It was hard to activate it though(I didn't take the device with me) so I had to do it online. The person in the chat was only able to send me a new SIM card which went to my home address. Once I finally got the right person on the phone, they were able to access the one that I got from the store and it worked great after that.Another con is that if you disconnect this device then you have to pay another $35 activation fee, so since we used it for a month and then went home we had to decide whether to disconnect or just reduce the plan when we got home.

Works good, but extremely too hot! Even when it’s not charging, it will stop working until the battery cools. I thought it was a fluke and amazon sent me another and it does the same thing. The only way to get the battery to charge to 100% is to put an ice pack under the box while it’s charging, not ideal.
