I have a Netgear Nighthawk modem/router, it’s probably 4 to 5 years old. I wasn’t happy with my WiFi coverage in my 1600 sqft house, virtually nonexistent on the other end of the house. So I did some research and found this Mesh system. Decided to give it a try, and it’s totally worth it! Not only do I now have amazing coverage, but also faster speed! Very clear and simple setup using the Netgear Nighthawk app. I am extremely pleased with my purchase!

I've only been using this less than a day BUTI realized not long ago, I was not getting the speed I was paying for from my router. MY DL speed was about 1/3 of what I was supposed to be getting. I was about to call and complain to my ISP but I decided to test the connection first and plugged in directly. To my surprise, my speed when connected directly was a little bit higher than what I was supposed to be getting.I bought this and set it up and my speed over wifi is averaging 120% of my contracted speed from my ISP.Setup was easy but I found that, because I used the same network name and credentials, I had to disconnect/forget the network and reconnect. That's not super hateful but with multiple computers, mobile devices, IOT devices etc. it was time consuming.Coverage and speed are fantastic. I haven't tested the range yet but I imagine I would have good signal from the front yard all the way to my back fence.

I called today after buying it in March, never could stay online, off and on off and on all day and night. Finally last night the mesh satellite, the 2nd one, turns red, and wouldn't go back to blue, I spent an hour and half on the phone with netgear and it was working, once we hung up, it went off line, I took myself to bestbuy bought a whole different route tp-link to make sure if it was the mesh system, and after another hour of troublshooting, bam, no drops! I do want a refund, but it is past the time period, I will be letting Amazon know and see if they can help me anyway. I am so frustrated. Spectrum was awesome, they had issues in the beginning as well and changed out my modem, but in all the crisis, I am now thinking it had a lot to do with this mesh set up, maybe try a different seller, but it was a doozy for me and wasted so many days, today from 8am - 10pm I worked on this setup, lost work time and tons of hours of internet not able to work!

I started streaming on a new smart TV and it wasn’t working well & I upgraded to a Nighthawk Dual-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System. Our internet was supposed to be 500 Gbps but our speed was only 26 Gbps with the old router. With the new router, the speed went to 540! Everything runs much faster now - our laptop, mobile phones, streaming. I love the fact that NETGEAR has an app to make setup easier. And the fact that we have a second box upstairs makes a huge difference. No dead spots! It took two tries to do the setup but I like that I could easily change the name of the network & the password. Love it.

Great product! Extremely easy initial setup, with decent set of more advanced settings as well. The throughput while streaming with multiple devices is freakin' remarkably amazing! The coverage using the remote module is perfect full signal everywhere in my house now. It also has a convenient ETH port on the remote module for use with non-wifi enabled network printers, switches, etc... Great bang for the buck to be sure :) Highly recommended! Would (and will) buy again!

This works fine (without even using its satellite) for my 1600 sq.ft metal home. I had the guy that the fiber optic internet company sent to install its service sit at my desk and pick out what I needed from Amazon. This is what he picked. I ran a CAT line from the ISP's "cable modem" to my desktop HP PC and another to this Wifi, and that's covered all of the 1600 sq. ft. of living space in my rectangular metal home. It's nice to have the satellite that came with it -- in case I want to cover my 1600 sq. ft. garage.

1) If you wish to set your 5GHz to a specific Channel (36 - 161). The selection only covers Channels (36 -124)2) The 5GHz WiFi auto-sets the channel BW to 160MHz (8 x channels). Because this requires using some DFS channels if radar is detected on any DFS channels the AP automatically switches to another channel. Which is Channel 149 with BW of 80MHz (4 x channels). And because of the 1st problem is not even selectable.Note: WLAN devices that operate on DFS channels must detect the presence of radar signals and switch to another channel if they encounter one.3) The is not any selection in the 5GHz settings to even select the BW 20MHz (1 x channel), 40MHz (2 x channels), 80MHz (4 x channels), or 160MHz (8 x channels). So I cannot choose channel 36 @ 80MHz and avoid being switched to another channel.Note: The lower the channel number (2.4GHz & 5GHz) the better coverage you will have.I live in an apartment building where there are many competing WiFi Access Points (APs). So it beneficial to be able to choose your WiFi Channel both 2.4GHz & 5GHz and control the WiFi BW used to limit interference/competition from the other APs in the building near me.
