Well my old one was destroyed by my dog and it works really well with spectrum and it is both Wi-Fi and router and I've never had problem with the brand so I try to find another one and it works really good

Description says it’s compatible with Xfinity modems/routers. Believe me when I say it doesn’t come close! I’ve had so many issues and very weak Wi-Fi network connection that I can’t even reinstall my camera which was on my front door. The app now says the Wi-Fi is too weak for the camera to work. Xfinity modem/router came with internet security and a strong Wi-Fi signal. Unfortunately I returned the Xfinity one, I waited too long to hoop up this one, supposedly passed the free Netgear support, and now I’m sol, I called, the guy was rude, not helpful, and eventually hung up on me. So no, I do not recommend this modem/router to anyone, not even people I don’t like

Don't bother buying this product. I bought this item because the product description says that Amazon technical support is included.1. The item arrived without instructions2. There is no "get technical support" button on the order even though the description says it should be there3. Called amazon customer support and wasted half an hour of my life. They won't provide customer support despite what is written on the product description page4. Told I had to contact the seller and it would take 2 days to get as response. Keep in mind this is the same flakey seller that didn't include the instructions.Total waste of time, money, and gas money (which is $4/gallon around here). I guess I just have to keep returning modem/routers to amazon until I find one that works and they don't care that they are losing money on the deal.

I'm a xfinity customer, my previous motorola router kept dropping the wifi network every now and then, very annoying. Decided to buy this refurbished router which seems to be a "mainstream" model.The one thing to note is, you have to activate the router at your xfinity account before the router works. You need to install "xfinity" app at your cellphone, log in to your xfinity account, and activate the router from there. Once done, the router works great! Much faster than my previous motorola model.

Only thing is setup. if you are not computer savvy you most go to your cable provider.

When I hooked this up, the Network name which displayed was not what was on the unit sticker. The password also didn't work. Two techs from Comcast worked on it, and said it was not properly refurbished. The unit "worked" and got signal, but the network ID and password were improperly rest, and could not be accessed. So it was useless. I returned it.
