We purchsed these for a nerf party. Some of the vest were not able to be placed properly due to them missing proper connecting attachments. They served their purpose for the day once we tied them in knots to attach to the kids. Will not be reusing.

Pretty cool but not much space to hold things and it's made of cheap/thin fabric.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call this a vest. It is more like a combat harness, but I suppose it will not be able to handle the job of one because it is not built of heavy load-bearing materials. This is a look-alike, like all of Nerf’s other pretend-play equipment and toy weapons. It comes with the harness, belt portion, and a utility pouch. There are 2 color options; I chose to more expensive tiger stripe camouflage design pattern (first seen on the Nerf Elite HyperFire) option for this review at the time of this purchase (as I currently own both designs). Both harnesses are identical in build, so you are paying extra for the coloration really (the pattern is identical to the “Ultimate” Nerf Elite Battle Vest, sold separately). As far as the materials it is made of, I feel it is sturdy enough for rigorous play and since the build has an open-air suspenders style design, it will not get as hot as some of the older official Nerf tactical vests (and most current) do. I like the adjustment options on every strap, as it will be adjustable enough to fit almost anyone. As an example, the waist measurement goes from 25 and 1/2 inches to 44 inches (reference my pics of me measuring it). It has a small pouch capable of holding maybe a 6-dart magazine or a handful of darts. You can fit 3 individual darts on each of the shoulder straps via an elastic band that was sewn to mount them horizontally. Under the 3 darts are twin elastic bands intended to hold a single 6-dart or up to a 12 dart magazine on each strap. I have discovered that it is possible to hold an 18 dart magazine across the wearer’s chest, but you will need to string the 18-dart mag through all 4 elastic bands on both shoulder straps. Lastly, you will find 2 more elastic bands for a very cool horizontal mounting location for an 18-dart magazine behind the belt portion of the utility vest. In conclusion, this utility harness/ “vest” thing is a good option for the practicing Nerfer at a reasonable price. Reaching around to pull out a quick reload from the small of your back may be a useful thing for the tactical-minded Nerf War operative, and I hope Hasbro pushes Nerf’s design team to think about developing more utility equipment with similar or better magazine mounts for their customers to utilize. *Cough* Utility Harness with 18-dart Magazine quick-release clips and Dump-pouch, *cough!*

Looks very cool, to the point where I almost want one for myself to use in place of a purse or something. Packaging is nice and substantial, didn't see any photos of the packaging and I was pleasantly surprised to find them firmly attached to sturdy cardboard complete with the Nerf logos.
