There isn’t enough clearance under the strings at the headstock on my ’49 Epiphone Blackstone for one of those leather adapters and I hate using shoelaces because of the excess string hanging down. The D’Addario thingy is also very long and I don’t trust the plastic lock. I think this is a great product because it’s a very neat solution that is so brilliantly simple, it’s a wonder that no one else thought of this before. I was initially concerned that the lace could rip from the tab, but I see now that it is very securely affixed with heavy stitching, and the tab is made from a hearty piece of leather, so it I feel much more confident now. The price seems a little high for a piece of shoelace and a small bit of leather, but after considering that it is made in the USA by a small company, and the quality is so high, I can absolutely recommend it.

...could be a little longer. It's too short to use behind the first pair of tuners.

I didn't think one of those thick leather bands behind the nut would fit under my strings, so this proved to be a great solution for me after looking at a lot of products online. Was worried the D'Addario one with the two plastic clips that hooked together would make the strap itself too long, but no such problem with this simple thing. It's a bit pricey for what little it is, but you're paying for the design.

This product is easy to use and holds up well. It is thin enough to fit under my banjolele strings on the head.

I needed a neck connector on my acoustic guitar that's a scooch longer than a regular headstock strap, and a WHOLE lot shorter than the D'Addario quick-release. This is perfect -- about 3.5 inches from the neck to the bottom of the strap. I also like that it's flat web, instead of string -- easier on the neck! Now if only someone would a make headstock strap that's both detachable and adjustable...

I saw this (or something like it) on one of Neil Young’s guitars. So I figured I would try it. I’ll never go back to using string or shoelace again- this solution is so simple and secure, I wish I had found it years ago. It’s unobtrusive and unnoticeable, which is exactly what I want. One of my favorite guitar accessories, I have them on three guitars that don’t have heel strap buttons.

I have an open back banjo, so I don't need a full, wrap around banjo strap. I tried the plastic clip on strap, but always worried about the hard plastic making dings on the banjo. I got two of these, so I can use a standard, leather end guitar strap with my banjo. With these tied around a couple of brackets, then the tab end through the guitar strap, there are no hard bits to hit the banjo. A bonus is that it's flexible, so when I put it in the tight case, I can move the strap to where it fits so I don't have to take off the strap.
