I'm new to the Osmo 5 and action cameras but this is made of good quality, it's very compact, and it allows me to be able to quickly swap out attachments on my camera. I love that it has a threaded insert for tripods, etc. I don't see any downsides.

This NEEWER magnetic mount is a really handy accessory for my Action 5 Pro. The magnet is super strong, so my camera stays securely attached, even during bumpy rides. I love how quickly and easily I can attach and detach the camera. It's much faster than fiddling with screws or other mounting systems.The 1/4" thread is a great feature, allowing me to mount it on various tripods and other accessories. It's a small but very useful addition to my camera setup.

Order this magnetic mount mainly to replace my existing one. It's a little bit bigger and bulkier and heavier than the original one. I was hoping for it's slimmer one. The magnetic mount is not as smooth as the original. you need push it in manually when attaching. but once it's locked into the body of the action5, it feels very secure secure. Overall, the entire body of the action 5 feels heavier when holding in my hand. The build quality is very solid and sturdy.

I've got a fair bit of Neewer kit now and it's always served me pretty well.This is a nice quality, functional quick release adapter.It can be fitted to a tripod/self-stick/etc, either via the standard action camera mounts which fold out at the bottom. I note another reviewer had an issue with their alignment, but on mine there's no issue here. Or you can use the 1/4" screw to attach it to a standard tripod mount.The Action 5 clips in the top with magnets and two metal clips at either side to hold it in place.If mounted using the action camera flaps then it's very quick and easy to release, but if using the 1/4" hole it's slightly more fiddly as the action camera flaps folded back make access to release the top clips slightly more fiddly. This is not a deal breaker though.For the price it's a great addition to my action camera kit.

This product comes in a cardboard box; once opened, you'll see the magnetic mount itself. As of reviewing this product, it is priced at £18.99. I do think that this is a little pricey, but the product works well.The product is built well. The magnetic part is powerful and kept on my Osmo Action 5 Pro very well. This mount will also work with the 4, 3, etc., as the mount is the same.I also like that the product has the two-pronged attachment AND the 1/4 in the screw-hole mount, so you can attach both action and everyday camera accessories to it.The product is made out of metal - quite a high-quality one and the grip on the action camera is very strong.I would recommend this product.

Neewer is a great company that makes good quality photography products for a very reasonable price.This is no exception, made of metal (which other companies/brands chose plastic), it's light weight and is very compact.The magnetic grip works well with my Osmo Action 5 Pro.You can mount this via an action camera system or using the 1/4 20 inch screw mount to screw to a lightstand/tripod or extension pole.

Very well made, solid and with a strong magnetic. Actually, may be too strong as it takes way too much effort to remove it. That is the only problem that I have with this adapter.The price is mid-range, actually it is more expensive than others however, it is also weightier - which may or may not be a good thing.My advice would be, if you buy it may be an idea to leave it on the camera ready to fit it to tripods, selfie-sticks, etc. Definitely good quality accessory.

I’m disappointed with this magnetic mount. The flip-out fingers are badly misaligned, and I’m not sure if it’s a design flaw, poor quality control, or a defect. The push levers to release the clips are also a big letdown. They feel cheap and don’t work consistently—example: after you push the levers, only one clip releases. The magnet is strong, which is a plus, but the mount is heavy and bulky. I don’t see the point of a heavy and bulky mount, especially when you can get the OEM magnetic mount that’s just as secure, but lightweight, and has easy-to-press levers that consistently release the clips. The only thing that might be worth mentioning is the 1/4’ thread hole.

It's a simple concept and there are lots of versions of these out there, and this one is middle of the road. It's absolutely functional, but the one I got seems to lake "polish", it feels more like a prototype than a finished product. It works most of the time, but the release levers can be finicky. Sometimes they don't want to release at all, and sometimes it just pops off just by pulling.The magnets are strong, and I do like that it has a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom if you want to mount it that way vs the "action cam" mount, not all versions of these have that.
