Great cpl filter. no softening of the image or color casts. Not bad with this one. Works great for cutting through those reflections as I often shoot through windows and the glare has ruined my work on more occasions than I'd like to admit. But now, I don't have that issue anymore.

Been shooting for over a decade and this Neewer polarizing filter rivals those costing 5x as much. Another quality product by newcomer Neewer.

I used this for photographing some aquatic wildlife, and this really helped cut down on glare on the water surface. Not perfect but that’s sure to do with some light not being the same polarity. Neewer makes great value equipment, and I’m very happy with this.

Works really nice for reflection and glare. Just rotate the ring until the undesired glare is reduced. Comes with a nice lens cap with strap that can be secured around the lens. There's a "sim tool" in the packaging, at first I thought was a mistake, but it's used to thread the straps string through the cap. It's a premium product from Neewer. I do like, and recommend it.

I often use polarizing filters on my camera lenses on bright sunny days to help achieve better contrast and reduce glare. This filter works wonderfully for that purpose. The filter is multi coated and slim, and has an aluminum frame. It easily fastens on the camera lens without adding weight or bulk to your camera. It turns easily to help attain the best polarized effect, and it also helps protect your camera lens from scratches and bumps. A nice added feature for this lens is that it comes with a lens cap and a strap that be fastened on the lens so that you do not lose the lens cap. The polarizing filter is a great value, seems to be a high quality construction, and works well. You will definitely want to keep this in your camera bag for any photography trips, and it is highly recommended.

Pros:- Quality build- Removes reflections effectively- Can act as a 1.3EV neutral density filter- Multicoated- Decent quality lens capCons:- Reduces exposure by 1.3EV (but this is normal)The NEEWER 77mm CPL Polarizing Filter with Lens Cap has a quality build. It works very well in removing reflections on windows when the camera lens is about 45 degrees to the window glass. This is consistent with other polarizing filters I own. You have to turn the filter slowly to find where you will get the most reflection reduction effect. The polarizing filter, however, will reduce the exposure by about a 1.3EV from my tests. This is normal for polarizing filters. In fact, we can take advantage of this filter property and use the polarizing filter as a 1.3EV neutral density filter. The filter is also multicoated, as the reflection of my ceiling light is green. The lens cap is also of decent quality. Overall, this is a great polarizing filter and I am glad I got it.

In the era of digital photography many of the old filters are no longer needed by casual users. There are really only 2 effects I can't replicate in photoshop, an ND for long exposures and a Polarizer. This ND filter is at least a good starting point for most photographers. It’s thinner than the other ND filter that I have and I find it rotates easier, both are smooth but the Neewer is “looser” so easier to rotate when I’m reaching around with the camera on a tripod. Despite this easy turning the one problem I have with this filter is that on my 77mm sized lens it doesn't get as tight as other filters I have so if I rotate clockwise it tends to unscrew from the lens. I have to rotate counter clockwise to make sure it stays attached properly.Image quality wise it’s as good as my other ND filter but at a fraction of the cost. Both are cheaper filters, I don't pixel peep so I can't justify spending hundreds on a filter. I’m sure there are better filters but this one does what I want in reducing reflections and enhancing colours in landscapes. It does darken the image a little by a fraction of a stop, nothing I can’t deal with. The lens cap fits securely on both the lens and the filter. There is a lanyard for attaching it to the lens or your wrist. I find it gets in the way a little on the lens but if nothing else it’s a handy splash of blue to help me find the lens cap when I drop it and we’ve all lost lens caps so a spare one will be put to good use eventually. All in all this is a good filter for most people. Yes you can get better but I dont think you’ll get better for the same price ($27.49) or even close. Polarizers are not magic filters, you have to be aware of light angles, even the best ones won't do a good job if the light is not right. This does as good a job as any I’ve used.

The filter went on the camera easily. It has ridges along the outside to make it easy to rotate. Taking a couple of pictures and adjusting the ISO, it looks like it darkens the light by just over 1.3 stops. I did detect a very slight green tint: exposing white such that a sheet of paper came out at a luminosity of 65 percent, it added about 4 rgb points to green over a baseline of 165. This was easily correctable with a miniscule tweak of the green channel of a curves adjustment. Not ideal but probably on-par for the price point. The addition of a lens cap was a nice plus - it fit fine on my lens as well as on the filter.

For fun, I use lenses intended to project a movie as the lens my camera uses to take photos. These lenses were not designed to be used outdoors or in the sun, and can be affected by flare and ambient light. Adding a polarizing filter helps to cut down on both flare and glare since the light that gets through becomes directional and is reduced in intensity. It's like having your camera lens wear sunglasses. In the film days I preferred a linear polarizer, which was much more sensitive or orientation but also had a bold effect on the image when rotated just so. Circular polarization is not as dependent on orientation of the filter, though there still is some preference for certain directions. DSLR cameras would not meter properly with linear polarizers so they went out of style. We're now in the realm of the mirrorless camera and I understand they may be able to use linear polarizers, too. Until they become available again, circular polarizers give your photos richer color, less glare for sharper images, and help your lens from flaring. This is what I am experiencing with this Neewer polarizing filter. I hope my experience has been a help in your buying decision.

My initial review stated I found the filter slightly reduced glare but had no effect on reflections on glass surfaces such as picture frames and windows in my house. The company subsequently reached out me, so I've added the following information.First, customer service is excellent--above and beyond what I've come to expect these days. Their advertising department checked with their tech support staff and determined nothing was wrong with the filter (and were polite enough not to blame me for the problems I had) and suggested I try to use the CPL filter with an ND4 or ND8 filter. The combination of the CPL and ND filters does significantly reduce or eliminate glare and reflections. While the addition of a ND filter does reduce incoming light, photos can still be easily taken by altering the ISO, aperture, or shutter time without losing any shots. In my initial review, I stated I'd purchased a number of Neewer products prior to this one and had never been disappointed. With the service I've received on this order, that perfect record remains intact.
