Fits my controller perfectly and grasps it securely. The magnet is strong and has no problems holding my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I didn't use the metal ring that came with the unit. I used my magsafe case which has its own metal ring.

I got a magnetic phone mount since most of the spring/clip phone mounts press on the power button on my phone when centered.Pros:Good Locking Mechanism, won't accidentally open while playing.Fits snugly(not too loose/tight) on my Xbox One ControllerMagnetic Mount easily adjustable and won't fall out of positionDoesn't press on any of the xbox controller buttonsComes with Metal Ring that's meant to be attached to the phone.Cons:The Magnet is pretty weak, it works fine without anything in between the metal ring and the magnetic mount but if you have something like a phone cover in between them it won't attract.Notes:I would take a picture/video of my issue but I don't have a second phone to take a video/picture with.Overall if I had to do it all over again I'd buy it again.

Doesn't feel good to use. Attaching your phone to the controller makes it a top-heavy assembly and it gets uncomfortable to use for more than 30 minutes. Materials could use some work too. It feels like I could snap this in half with one hand. Fulfills its purpose but doesn't do it very well.

This MagSafe mount got an Xbox Controller does exactly what it says it will! The fit is secure to the controller and the magnet is nice and strong. If you love gaming in your iPhone, this is a great addition!

I have always wanted some kind of controller mount for my phone, and this one is the most convenient. When I am done, I can just take my phone off and put the whole thing in my bag, no issue.

On the plus side, the MagSafe attachment is strong and secure. It allows you to position your phone in either portrait OR landscape mode, which is pretty hard to find. Works great with MagSafe cases too. It even comes with a metal ring to use with phones or cases that Aren't MagSafe. All in all, it works as promised.So why don't I like it? For one, the weight! A Switch Pro Controller weighs about 8 ounces (246g), my iPhone 13 Pro Max weighs about 8 ounces (240g), and my phone case weighs about 0.12 lbs (53g). Holding 1.2 lbs (539g) might not seem like a lot, but after a very brief gaming session your arms will be noticeably fatigued.Another issue is how the mount pushes your phone about 3-4 inches closer to your face while playing. As someone who needs to use reading glasses when things get too close, this is also an issue. Without the mount, I can see the screen well. With the mount, I need to pull out my glasses.Going back to the original headline of the review, this mount/clip DOES exactly what it promises to do and works well. If the issues I mentioned above don't apply to you, this might be a better and much cheaper solution than buying a Backbone grip.

I have a niche scenario where I have a really thick phone case. Since most other phone holder attachments on controllers have clamps, I would have to remove my phone from the case constantly, which was a hassle. I stumbled accross this product which was just what I needed. It utilizes magnets so I can put a magnet on the back of my case and stick it like that. Installing and removing this device is very easy and seemless, and rest assured it doesn't seem to damage the controller. The magnet is pretty strong I'd say, so I have no worries of my phone falling off. One minor complaint is that it is too close to the controller; it would be cool if there was height adjustment (although you can tilt it left/right/up/down).Finally, what was unexpected was that it came with an extra magnet sticker in the box. I did not expect that and it is a welcome bonus.
