The ribbon Raffia grass looks exactly like the pictures in the seller's ad. Most raffia Ribbon sold on line is really just strips of paper made to look like Raffia. Raffia grass comes from leaves of the raffia palm tree and has a lot of texture. This product seems to be the real thing (I am not an expert but it is textured enough to not be like most things sold as raffia ribbon to convince me of this). If you have a project that needs texture and looks like (and is) an all natural product you will be very happy with this. This raffia would be appropriate for All the projects shown in the advertisement but won't create a consistently shaped ribbon for wrapping gifts. I actually like this product to use as a gift ribbon on brown or white paper or to wrap flowers. Be careful of wrapping anything that will stay wet because it will mold like any other dried grass product. It would also be perfect for creating packing in a gift box and for people who know how to basketweave I imagine this would be perfect. But if you are looking for the fake uniformly thick "raffia" go somewhere else. This is the real thing.

I settled on 4 stars because my desired use was very simple and I was ultimately able to use as 'ribbon' wrapping some presents and it looked great. If I was using for more extensive crafting like the product photos show I'm not sure where my rating would end up. None of the pieces are extremely long, and it's quite messy to work with. It's not like unraveling string, it's more like opening up a bundle and picking out pieces that you want to twist or combine to get what you need.Maybe not the most helpful review as of yet, if I ever use for something else and have a different experience I will definitely update. Until then, it seems to be comparably priced and I would have no problem recommending.

The raffia was packaged well and I appreciate how small it was thanks to the vacuum-sealing. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised by this product. As others have mentioned, the strands aren’t uniform, but I think that adds to its charm. I also thought it felt like plastic at first because I’m used to seeing the fake raffia made out of paper. This is different and seems like it will be more pliable and resilient in projects. I look forward to using it in my crafting and gift wrapping!

Package comes shrink wrapped and includes four packs of raffia, dried grass. After opening you find lots of smaller pieces, but they are perfect for accents on my wood crafts.The raffia is natural raffia grass and has nice texture and looks great! I’m planning to use it for smaller bows on my wood crafts. It really adds a lot to my finished products.

The photos in the ad for this don't do it justice. They are a lot bigger than expected. I love them so much. Perfect for crafts. A great quality.

This is much better than I thought it would be! You get 4 skeins that come vacuum sealed. I was skeptical when I first opened the packaging, they were so flat. In the first photo, the top two are straight from the package, the bottom 2 I kinda fluffed up.I can't wait to use these on wrapped gifts! Guaranteed, my cats can't wait for that moment too!🤣🤣

This raffia arrived vacuum packed in plastic, which flattened it out considerably. It will still work for me, but some people may not like the packaging very much. The value was good.
