You will receive a 6.3" x 5.9" x 0.59" sphgnum moss fiber debris "flake" weighing approximately 3 ounces. Soaking and fluffing with water yields approximately 2 quarts of sphgnum moss fiber debris.

First step
Unwrap the bag and soak the sphagnum moss fiber flakes in water and wait 3-5 minutes for it to fully absorb the water and expand.
Second step
Once the excess water is squeezed out, it can be placed in the hermit crab tank as a moisturizing substrate for them.

The mixture came as advertised and did infact expand when water was added. Decently priced for what you get. Its easy to use also, open and pour some water on it and mix. However my little hermit crab did not like it so we removed it from his tank.

it doesn’t look like a lot but once you get it all in water it’s enough to fill a large tupperware. it’s worked well for me so far!
