My son’s dentist recommended this cream for our son to stop sucking his thumb but unfortunately did not work. Once we tried it my son started to cry and then threw up. My husband and I gave it a try and it’s horrible. The aftertaste stays with you and it’s horrible. Which I’m guessing is the point but I don’t recommend it if it’s going to make my son sick. We only tried the one time and then threw it away. We do not recommend this product.

My kid definitely doesn't like the taste and WILL NOT put those fingers in his mouth! I saw him test his fingers after a few hours and I guess it had worn off so he put the fingers back in his mouth. I applied MORE and also some before bedtime. It really is working. Its only been 2 days but he definitely dosen't like it!!

I got this for my daughter because we took off the pacifier but she would suck on her fingers but I have used this for 2-3 weeks and at first she didn’t like it the first 2 days but then she didn’t mind having on her fingers and started sucking them again. And I used it has the directions said to apply three times a day.

I’m really loving this. We’ve been working with our child to stop sucking his thumb for a while now and this works really great. It has a really strong, bitter taste that isn’t spicy, but is definitely unpleasant to suck on. As soon as our child puts the thumb in the mouth. It comes right out. This has been great for breaking the habit and I feel good about using it because it’s vegan.

I have used this for a couple of weeks. I like the fact that it has a strong taste to deter from putting my fingers in my mouth without being too bitter or burning. One of my biggest problems is bitting on the skin on my side of my fingers (I believe these are considered hangnails). This cream has been a great help for that.

Honestly, I don't think this tastes bad enough to work. They say to use it for three weeks straight, and we've tried, but we've seen limited change. On the bright side, applying it twice a day means we keep it top of mind not to bite our nails. But as an adult, I've been using it and realizing it doesn't really deter me from biting my nails as much as my cuticles. Plus, the consistency feels like sunscreen which isn't exactly pleasant. I'm open to it working still, but as of now, it's not as good as promised.

so this product was okay and smelled okay but there was no weird flavor or anything really to help my kid stop biting her anils or keep her from putting her hands in the mouth. I just had to try to tell her this was medication and she needed it to keep her hands clean. But it wasnt aweful enough to keep the hands down.

This is the second deterrent I bought. The first one was a polish by Super nail called “bite no more” (I don’t recommend. Strong chemical smell and the stock photo says safe for kids but the actual package does not).I had to order a replacement because the first tube had an opening at the bottom seal and the product leaked out. The second tube was fine.My kid has been sucking her thumb since like 8 months old and it’s been a struggle to get her to stop. She’s 3 now. I put a small amount on her whole thumb 3 times between a day and a half’s time and by the end of day 3 she stopped completely. I haven’t used anymore since then. It has been week. If anything changes I’ll update this. The product itself has consistency of a thick lotion so a little goes a long way. It smells like ginger and has a bitter but dry taste to it.

Our dentist recommended this product so my daughter would stop sucking her thumb.I'm going to change dentists. My daughter enjoyed this cream so much i could have made a dip out of it. Im still trying to decide the winner of the worst product of the century; this cream or the self melting ice cubes they sell next to the normal ones for twice the price…..key words; snake oil, charlatan, false advertising
