The foil covered foam was great and easy to work with. Plenty for our water heater. The tape did not stay attached very well, I would suggest finding better foil tape.

The R-value isn’t very high, but effective. The assembling of it as a two parts is awkward, but sufficient quantity to get it done. The supplied tape is good.

It will fit however it’s not all in one piece. You will need extra tape so order some at the same time. It does fit a 60 gallon tank. Lots of cutting and taping and if you have another person to help use them. Does it work?…..sure why not. I haven’t seen any difference in my power consumption or even how long it takes the hot water to run up 2 floors to my freezing cold shower. Makes me feel better about saving money and electricity even though there is no proof in my electric bill to substantiate this claim.

I am really not thrilled how things have turned out. There were no instructions in the box, so I went ahead on my own. My gas hot water heater has a warning label to not block the air vents. Leaving the air vents and various warning and instruction labels uncovered means that only about 3/4 of the heater is covered by insulation. The utility knife broke when I first tried to use it. I ran out of metal tape and will need to order more. I have decided to go to my local hardware store and buy some pipe insulation (black hollow foam noodles that can wrap around the hot water pipes. I think these will be more usefiul.

Cost- It was affordable and worth the money spent.Ease of installation- It didn't take much time to install this blanket. I recommend having someone help you when installing the product. Having someone hold it in place, helped me apply the tape that was included.Materials- all necessary materials were included. The tape that was included was more than enough. I wanted to use the tape that was supplied as I hate to waste but it is so thin it tears trying to get it off the paper. I had a roll of good tape that was used on my air conditioner unit that made installing this so much easier. But the product but chuck the tape and get a good roll that is much thicker. So much better to install.

I don't write reviews very often, but this wrap is awesome. It fits perfectly, the aluminum tape is more than enough. There was a knife in the package, so you have everything you need.

The product was as described, one large piece of foam sandwiched between two layers of foil. It was thinner than I had imagined, and I can’t really speak to how well it is insulating my water heater, but it was easy to install, the included tape is holding well so far, and the included blade worked like a charm. Fortunately, I did not have to cut and piece it together as the instructions said I might have to do for our 80 gallon water heater. It fit perfectly after simply trimming it to the same height as my electric heater, wrapping and taping it around the tank, and using the remaining bit for the top. I had to piece the top together with three pieces, but it was easy to do. I would have liked more tape so I could have completely covered all of the edges and seams, and I plan to get more and do so, but what was provided was sufficient if you’re not too terribly picky.
