great set and easy to put together. the net is of high quality. the frame is made of holow plastic tubing as should be expected at this price. The only annoying part is that it can tend to fall apart easily durring use if not put together tighly (like if it was done by a child, or someone with limited strength.)

Its all you need to introduce your preschooler to hockey. My bigger concern was the size of the hockey sticks, and they're perfect for my 3.5 year old, who's approx 40 inches tall. I like that they have pretty much no curvature to them too, so no issues deciding hand dominance yet...just grab a stick and play. I can play too with a little crouching at 5'7". The net frame is kinda flimsy, but a little glue will hold it together just fine. A great deal for only $25.

I bought this set for my kids (Ages 4-8). I wasn't sure how much they would want to play hockey, so I avoided some of the more expensive options and was able to snag this for around $16. I gave the product 5 stars based on the price paid and the quality of the item. While I have seen higher quality nets and sticks out there this one doesn't feel cheap at all, which was surprising for the price I paid. There is some assembly required (phillips screwdriver is the only tool you will need). I am easily frustrated when putting stuff together, but was able to get the net and sticks put together with ease in about 10 minutes with no frustration. The set comes complete with net, 2 sticks, and 1 ball. Knowing how things go missing (and they did after a few weeks) I also bought a pack of . Do yourself a favor and get some extra hockey balls, not only has it been nice having extras in case a few go missing, but my kids aren't having to stop playing to go hunting for a ball out of play. They also come in handy when the kids want to practice shooting rapid fire.I am very pleased with this item as it has enabled me to give my kids a taste of hockey at a low price. And while the price was low this set isn't junk, and I don't see a need to upgrade to anything else in the near future. Whether you are wanting to give your kids a taste of hockey or just need a new hockey set, I think you will be happy with this product.

These may look flimsy, but they are perfect for inside the house play. They are sturdy enough to serve their purpose, but also light enough that no injuries have occurred, knock on wood. Easy to move around and pretty compact for storage. Easy to assemble, but I would not know first hand, because my 9 yr old nephew did it himself with a screwdriver :)

For $25, this is not a bad deal if you're trying to teach your little one how to play street hockey. The sticks are the perfect length/weight for toddlers through kindergarteners, and the ball is a good quality, hi-viz pink street ball.But...the net is incomplete and needed some extra work to be truly functional. The problem is that the lower three bars weigh a whole lot less than the posts and the top cross bar, and the area inside the goal is much smaller than the area of the goal face. This results in the goal falling forward from almost any contact. Even the weakest wrist will knock it over, and if an adult hits one of the posts with a decent-strength shot, forget about it -- the pipes are going to fly apart. So here's what I did, because I thought the product is worth salvaging considering what I need it for...I went to the hardware store and bought 12 3-32 1-inch screws and bolts, a 7-64 drill bit, and a small bag of sand. I packed the bottom three pieces of piping with sand to make the goal bottom-heavy. Then I drilled holes in each spot where the bars insert into the elbow joints, and I attached a screw with a bolt into each hole. To make sure I didn't crack the pipes (it's made of fairly thin PVC plastic), I was very careful not to lean in with the drill too hard, and I screwed in the screws and bolts by hand -- just enough that they're tight enough not to fall out, but not lock-sealed tight so I didn't crack it.Now the goal is ideal for messing around in the driveway. The bottom is heavy enough that it doesn't tip over, it's still light enough that my 3-year-old can move it around, and the pipes don't separate when you hit the post. On the whole, I recommend this product, but it's not quite ready to go straight out of the box. If you go to the hardware store, drop an extra $6 on a couple items, and spend 15 minutes reinforcing the goal posts properly, you'll be happy with the purchase.

This set is perfect for my kids. They were excited and screaming even when I was putting it together. We then put it outside in the parking lot and started playing. The sticks are perfect for them and I liked that the blades were straight (my one daughter is lefty). They took turns in goal and it turns out my 5 yr old daughter had a nice wrist shot. After seeing the enjoyment they got from this set, I feel it was well worth the $30. Mylec is a solid co. And it was made in the USA. My girls are just learning to ice skate so I thought this would be a fun way to introduce them to hockey. Go NJ DEVILS!

Those who complain too much about this set should either:A) Look for a more expensive one to satisfy their needsB) Build one themselvesC) Shut up and realize that cheap prices are indicative of inexpensive products. This street hockey set is fine for the price. What did you expect? Iron and 1/4" nylon netting? Yeah, right. The net sets up in no time, the sticks will need a screwdriver to assemble the "blade" to the stick portion. It's all fairly durable as it's made from nylon materials and PVC tubing (like what's used on sprinkler systems) to support the netting.Keep it out of the sun when not using it and it should last a long time. The only minor gripe is the "blades" of the sticks are a bit flimsy (safety feature?), but my children (5 and 7) adapted to this and are quite happy with the set.Recommended for street, driveway or backyard.
