This says Kapton in the description but the product only says "high temperature". I have not used it yet but will see if it works as I am expecting

It does what it's supposed to do by providing heat resistance and protection. If you've used any other kapton tape before then this works the same. I do like how this pack comes with many different sizes and you get plenty of tape for the price. The quality of the tape seems to be about typical and once a small cut forms on the edge of the tape will tear very easily (a desirable quality for me)

I use Kapton tape for protecting electronic components that I do not want to melt off of the circuit board when using my air desoldering station. This is just sticky enough to stay in place, seems to be the right film thickness (1 mil) and cuts like the mil-quality stuff.I have also used Kapton for a protective layer over loose radioactive materials when doing gamma ray spectroscopy. I had found that the old way of using scotch style tape would break down over a few years due to the constant radiation exposure. Kapton tape was intended for use on satellites and spacecraft so it is resistant to that type of deterioration. It blocks alpha particles but beta particles and gamma rays are barely attenuated.

Received the package and quickly tested with soldering iron heated to 300C° The tape did not burn and/or melt. This is good quality and correctly advertised product. Thank you.

The tape left yellow stains on the white shirts I was making for christmas markets. The tape also wouldn't stick to the paper. Will not be buying again.

Not exactly identical to Kapton tape, both in a positive and negative attribute.Pros: - Price for performance is excellent value- Excellent resistance to extreme temperatures. Measured through infrared and direct measurement found that - film deformation began at 673 degrees and at 769 degrees, while the film appeared to burn, it appears that it is the adhesive that carbonized as the film itself exhibited no perforations after being heated to nearly 800 degrees. YMMV, but these are the temps I observed when testing heat resistance - Physical dimensions and thickness is similar if not more robust than Kapton film. - Comes on a rigid plastic spool identical to genuine Kapton, not cheap cardboard or similar cheap material making them tough enough to toss into a electronics tool bag without concernCons:The only complaint I would bring up is the relatively weak strength of the adhesive compared to brand name Kapton film and several similar products. This is not a deal killer as test adhesive will adequately hold in most applications as long as you clean the surface thoroughly before attempting to apply the film.
