Your cart is empty.New CAGS (Computer Aided Gear Selector) disable kit. This small little connector set plugs inline with your engine harness at the transmission to disable the skip-shift feature of your transmission. The skip shift is the annoying 1 to 4 shift that forces the shifter to move into 4th gear instead of 2nd when shifting at slow speeds. This stops the shifter from moving on it's own. This will not cause a SES (Service Engine Soon) light, but the CAGS light will still light when the computer deems the shift is necessary. Harness is manufactured using the same quality TXL wiring and connectors as OEM. Fits 1993-2025 Camaro 1997-2019 C5 C6 C7 Corvette See photo 2 for location to plug in CAGS eliminator.

Installed it in my 2003 C5 Corvette, it’s located roughly midway up the transmission. Connectors are the same shade of blue, easy to locate. 30 minutes to put my car in the air, 2 minutes to install this. You don’t have to be mechanically inclined to install this.The shift light still comes on but the solenoid no longer locks out 2nd and 3rd gear. Much more enjoyable to drive now.

This device eliminates the annoying skip-shift feature of the CAGS (Computer Aided Gear Selection) system. The included directions were unhelpful, but there are plenty of videos on you tube, and also good directions with photos on Corvette Forum. I installed on a '13 Grand Sport, took me about 5 minutes not counting jacking up/ unjacking the back of the car. Make sure your car on solid jack stands or a lift so your car doesn't fall on you. Test drive confirmed that I can now shift straight into second gear under any starting conditions. I highly recommend this product.

Works exactly as it should, gets rid of the gate holding it out of 2nd gear at certain rpm upshifts. Lets you choose what gear it belongs in as it should be. Installation wasn't a nightmare on my car (2012 Camaro SS), but not exactly a 1 out of 5 on the easy scale. Once you find the correct factory plug (on top of the trans, driver side about 2/3 of the way back) and get it disconnected without messing anything up, it's a simple plug it in til it snaps into place, then ziptie it in place. Done, enjoy driving without GM telling you how you should be shifting. Would definitely buy it again, and will recommend it to anyone who hasn't installed one yet.

Product works as advertised and eliminates the annoying second gear to fourth gear skip-shift. It is probably beyond the ability of most home-garage mechanics to install because of the difficulty in accessing the necessary cable on the transaxle. Limited clearance and tight working spaces. Had mine installed by a shop when they had the car up on a lift for other work.

Installed on a 2015 Corvette... After I plugged it in the engine threw a code indicating that it had detected that it could not detect the CAGS solenoid. When I went to verify the installation (verify the connectors were secure) the plug connecting to the solenoid had an exposed wire (not weatherproof) so I tossed it in the trash. (It was plugged into the correct connector since the CAGS was disabled).Not worth exchanging given the shipping in Canada and cost of the part.
