Only 4 grits to polish frets. Like the old sharkskin from Stewmac. Compared to the multiple grits of sandpaper and buff polish at the end, this process is a no brainer. Too easy. Paired with the Nomad crowning file frets look great. I still tape off to be safe but you really don’t have to if you go slow. Great tools all around. The downfall is the pad loops are pricy and use up quickly but the time savings is worth the cost

First time level, crown and polish.Fret Tracers were simple to use and the grits were sufficient to achieve a high polish without filling the peaks. I would use a block or file for fret ends the are sharp as the material can wear through. Great for a couple of guitars per set not really for a shop. I'll continue to use.

This tool makes it easy to finish any fret job. Just start to polish with number one and finish with number four. Done and done.

I bought the Musicnomad Tracers Fret Erasers Kit on a whim. It definitely makes polishing guitar frets a lot easier. My only concern would be that the cost of the fret polishing refills are on the pricier side.I think you could do quite a few guitars with the four that come with the kit, but I’m they seem to lose their abrasive qualities fairly quickly.

I like the way this tool is designed. The fret eraser works great! The downside is the sandpaper replacements are very expensive!! I think the route I should have went was the slotted metal fretboard cover, and buying bulk ultra fine sand paper. I am trying to think if there is a way to super glue the bulk sandpaper to the correct size for the fret eraser, as it does work really well. The reason being is, you can really only get 2 polish jobs from a new set of papers. They come in 4 Micro-Mesh grits (1000, 3600, 6000, 12000) and cost $23 which means almost $12 for a polish job. I would give 5 stars if the replacements were not that expensive! Thats very pricey!
