A great inexpensive pre-wired pick guard. Great vintage tone, good balance between pickups, everything works well. The screw holes will likely not align, I had to drill new ones for this, but the pick guard hides all the old holes (except one). The fit around the edges isn't 100% perfect, but if you're just looking to restore/upgrade a cheap guitar this is still a great choice. This was my first attempt at soldering, and the instructions were clear so it was an easy first time soldering for me. This is proof that off brand hardware can be just as good as name brand parts that cost up to 4x as much. Just make sure you do thorough research before buying. That wasn't the case merely 10 or so years ago. A lot of these small companies have really upped their game. Great sound, great quality, great buy! Would recommend!

LOVE IT.I got this for a 2006 Mexican Strat. The original owner screwed up a SSH conversion. All the holes fit!! Sounds amazing. Maintains that “Strat Squawk”.

I bought this to upgrade my “fesley” build kit. If you are planning to do the same you will need to take some material off where the neck meets the body. Took me all of 5 min to tape it off, draw out the cut lines and dremel it out. Other than that it was a very easy install. The pickups sound good - I still have to set up the guitar but in my function test everything worked as it should. Some of the holes to secure the pick guard didn’t line up but that could very well have been just the fesley kit - none of the holes are exposed so it’s all good.

I wasn’t expecting too much from this set however after installing in my charvel super Strat I was absolutely impressed. For starters I have my cavity shielded with copper tape. I have a wire that is soldered from the back of one of the pots to a screw that goes through the copper tape into the wood. Also the typical ground to the bridge. It’s super quiet for single coils. Sounds much more high end. I bought another for another Strat I have.

The pick guard is beautiful. I used it with a sunburst style guitar. The pickups are fairly high output, not top, but good. They are wired so that if you select 1-2 or 2-3 combination, you get hum cancellation (like a humbucker). The pots are over sized and in my case required carving out additional space in the guitar body, which I didn't really have the tools to do. You probably need a router.

The pickguard fit my guitar perfectly.. Even the screw holes lined up perfect.. The pickups sound great.. Way better than what came in the guitar from the factory.. They are perfect for playing rock and blues type stuff.. Instalation was easy it only took me a half hour total.. That's including adding a treble bleed circuit to the volume pot and restringing the guitar.. There's zero noise or hum coming from the electronics.. The pickguard looks good on the guitar.. Im very happy with this purchase.. I would buy this product again..

I bought this to replace the worn/corroded pickups/pick guard in a strat copy from the 80s with the goal of installing a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. humbucker in the bridge. It’s a tight fit (likely because the guitar is a copy, not a Fender/Squier) but it did go on without any adjustments needed, and the instructions were clear. Although I really only cared about getting the JB Jr. installed, to my ears the neck pickup on this sounds pretty decent as well, which is surprising given that I chose it based purely on the fact that it was the cheapest possible option on Amazon. Very pleased overall!

purchased for a project see pic. looking for vintage strat tones. this did the trick. It needs some minor tweaking to fit the hard tail bridge was larger and I needed to trip the sides of the pickguard slightly. aligned pretty good to all 11 holes on the squire body.I added copper shielding to both the pickguard and to the body cavity that already had shieling paint. Very little 60 cycle hum after doing so.Don't spend a fortune on expensive pickups when you don't need to. These are far better then any ceramic pickups that come with more inexpensive guitars. Note: Ceramics don't handle the gain/dirt when pushed and I find lose claritiy.

Got this as an upgrade for my Squier Affinity HT Strat. Wiring was super simple with a bit of prep on your input jack. I recommend using Pure Tone. Anyhow, the only thing I had to do was augment the pickguard on the bridge cutout to make it about 1.5mm wider for the bridge to fit snug. I used a dremel then sanded it away clean. The tone is superb. I played through a Rivera era Fender Sidekick 65. Glassy warm cleans with all that Strat quack you know and love. I used an Azor Blue OD(killer!) with gain at 10 o'clock and it was noticeably gritty, defined, and warm. Just lovely tone. Significantly higher quality than the stock Squier pups which weren't bad, just not great. These pickups are GREAT.
