Your cart is empty. Musical Spoons
Basically, two spoons strike one another to produce a desired rhythm. Simple and fun, they are used to accompany and mark the rhythm of songs and music. Historically, these ancient rhythm instruments have been associated with Irish music, however many people are finding out how well they fill the rhythm section of almost any type of music.
Classical musical session spoons, made of high quality beech wood. Natural wood sound, gentle and pleasing.
Dimensions: 8.1 x 1.8 x 1.5 inch

Playing this instrument by rapidly fanning the spoons (as I've seen on YouTube) hurts my hands so much that the instrument stays in the drawer.

I bought these after watching a fun video of a guy making all kinds of fun sounds and beats. It seemed so simple and I thought would be fun for my active and musical second born. It was not! The wood barely gave and despite many attempts and you tube videos we could not get the wood to flex in any musical or sound creating sort of way. Likely user error, but based on our many attempts at trying it out without success, we ended up returning. Too bad because they seem very neat!! Recommend knowing how to use before buying.

Le manche est large et le son est difficile à obtenir dû à la largeur du manche et l’instrument n’est pas souple le son est correct mais je ne recommande pas pour joueur expérimenté

My 8 year old son bought these with his own money after watching you tube videos on metal spoons. He wanted something a bit easier on his hands instead of having to balance/hold the metal ones while trying to play. These wood ones would hardly even budge or click together even with hard force. We even had a person try them that does spoons and they couldn’t get a nice sound out if it or consistent noise. Bummer for a kid for sure.
