As with most of their intimate men's apparel, this pair came out of the wash with no loss of colour after multiple cycles.However, based on how these look on the rather inflatable-looking CGI-man fitness model that accompanies this listing compared to how they look on an utterly average body like mine (see photos, taken on MY private property), I think the MuscleMate/Amazon product title is a little misleading: this is not really a thong or g-string or t-back, and more like a Brazilian string bikini that shows off a fair amount of cheek. The hip straps are indeed g-string-like and measure a nice, thin 1/4-inch, but the back panel is clearly meant to give some coverage, unlike most thongs. The fake-looking model in the manufacturer images seems to get about the same bum coverage that I do, but your mileage will obviously vary depending on what you've got in the trunk. When I first tried them on, I was concerned about them 'riding up' and basically becoming a thong anyway, but so far they've stayed in place regardless of activity level. On the pouch side, my medium pair doesn't quite match the model pics (his seem, uhh, artificially padded), but I certainly can't complain as mine cling tight for all the right definition, while providing a modest amount of firm stretch for many states. They also stay in place throughout the day, dressed or undressed, and the camo pattern ensures they don't look sheer, even when wet, so if you're brave enough to wear these swimming, they shouldn't slip! :)Regarding the price, with MuscleMate underwear, I strongly recommend placing your preferred size and colour in your cart, then waiting for the inevitable discount to cycle through to it. Currently, these are $7.99, but I purchased them for $5.99 as part of a larger order of thongs and G's, and as I write this the 'red' pair in size L are down to $4.99, and I'm tempted to add those to an order! After all, this style of underwear is pretty much the tiniest apparel a guy can buy, and they're ALL made in Mainland China nowadays, so while I'm not a fan of channeling money to companies beholden to that government (as they all are), I'm also a BIG fan of the tightest, tiniest underwear I can get, and knowing that the manufacturing cost of these are literal pennies per pair, the best I can do is order a bunch when the prices of various pieces drop in tandem, more or less. Doing so has helped me build an almost embarrassingly large 'collection' -- in addition to my standard, day-to-day boxer-briefs and trunks from mainline American brands -- and save at least a little money in the process.

I just put it through a test run to wear. I’m not the fittest but the ridiculousness of the fit is wild. It rides up and down.
