Got these for my car emergency kit and aside from a few minor quirks these seem pretty good.The scissors, belt, and wire cutter all cut well and the thing is nice and compact for storage. Have not had a chance to test the glass breaker (and hope I never have to), so for now I am going to have to just trust that it works as advertised. It does take a good deal of effort to get the scissors out of the carrying case, even when pressing with the thumb as they recommend so I am actually storing them without it for easy access in an emergency. Also the thick ends of the scissors worry me a bit as I found it awkward to get in and cut things that are tight against a surface... maybe there is some logic behind that design that I am missing?Overall seems like nice addition to an emergency bag that I hopefully will never need to use for real...

I have worked as a firefighter and in hospitals and have used many shears over my career, so I have a pretty good idea how durable these shears are; it's top notch. The steel is thick and strong. I can do much more with these shears vs standard trauma shears. They're exceedingly sharp without noticeable play, and fold out quite easily. Comparing this model directly with the company that some man started with leather, they're quite similar; I'd say 90% the same, and realistically perform the same function. For the price of under $30 vs $100 for the brand name version, I'd pick this model, and maybe be willing to pay $5 more bucks for the name brand model. They're easy to use and I like the features. It folds and clips to my pants easily. I tried using the holster, which would fit well on a duty belt, but I find it to catch on things in the hospital, so I just use the spring clip instead. There are 2 spots on the shears which one could use a metal file to smooth out, but other than that, they're perfect.

This thing is built solid that there's quite a bit of heft to it. It's sharp and works well. It's so cool that it's foldable too, just be careful when folding and unfolding. It came with a holder, which I have no need for, but if I still worked as a nurse on the floor, this would be my ultimate trauma shears. The included paracord has a little carabiner, which is great for my needs. I love the color too!

Any boy or girl scout would want one of these on their belt. Med techs too. Actually my wife wants it on her belt. That's if there is room for it next to her bear spray and Zoleo and phone and whatever. She's a wilderness hiking guide and has to do periodic refreshers to her Wilderness First Responder (WFR) training.They say don't run with scissors but these babies are so sharp I'm reluctant to even walk or sit with them. The cutting edge is insanely sharp - scary sharp. If you're cutting somebody's jeans off make sure you don't cut their leg off too.The tool is very nicely made and has lots of features but not like a Swizz army knife where all the blades are easy to spot and easy to understand. This has sneaky functions like cutting a ring off. I think it is important to read the instruction card to make the most of all the capacity. When the tool is folded up it clips into the belt holster snugly and looks very smart.This is a really great tool just watch out for your fingers!
