Tips of MUFASHA Non-Contact Voltage Tester:

Due to the wide measurement range (12V-1000V AC), there will be an alarm when live equipment or static electricity nearby. Our electrical testers are available for men and women ages 15-75.
It will flash and beep when the device is close to a greater AC voltage during the specified voltage range even though without touching the measured object. You can distinguish the Live and Null Wire through different frequency alarm sounds and LED Indicators.

It works as expected. I tested it on both scenarios on the extension cord that has on/ff switch, first test it when the switch is off, it works with one short beep. Then power on the switch and the beep continues. Next plug it in the outlet and it beep.

At the price I didn’t have high hopes as l just needed something to check outlets but to my surprise it’s good for a lot more. Sensitive settings work great , inductive detection was spot on and the dog loves chasing the built in laser.

I don't do much electrical work as I am just a DIYer and have limited electrical knowledge. I do like having this to test for voltage to make sure the power is completely off before I go grabbing wires. So far, this seems to work well.
