Product Description

WHY BE PROACTIVE WITH WATER POND MAINTENANCE AND WATER?

A natural pond has a constant supply of fresh water flowing into it, such as from a stream or spring. Water also flows out of a natural pond, taking fish waste and other toxins with it. This isn’t true for most garden ponds as they are closed systems. Garden ponds also tend to be much smaller than natural ponds, so they do not offer the amount of water per fish that you find in nature. For these reasons, water uphold are necessary to keep water conditions preserve for both fish and plant life and for water.

I like the small pellets size, easier to distribute, they dissolve in about 30 minutes and the muck begins to dissipate from the bottom of the pond over the next 48 to 72hrs you will see a difference. My waterfall is also free of build-up. These do seem to create some mild foaming at the falls and the enzymes seem to me to work slower than other MUCK Reducers I have used. I use 1lb per dose for my small pond, I still have about 12lbs left to use before I need to more which should last me through 2025.

This is a gradually releasing pellet, so some more time may be required. It is a good value if it does what it says. The pellets are easier to use than the liquid sludge remover we currently use. And the pellets will save us some money too.

We have been very successful over the past year in transforming our pond from an algae covered mess to a clean, beautiful pond. It is hard to determine how much of that has been the aeration, the stocked fish (including triploid grass carp), and how much is the bacterial treatments. The previous bacterial treatment we used came in a soft, dissolving pouch which I would throw into the deepest part of the pond. It seemed to do well, but I’m not sure how long it took to disperse throughout the pond. These pellets are dense and throw well, meaning I’m able to much more evenly distribute the treatment throughout the pond simply by tossing handfuls around.I highly doubt the “two inches of muck per month” claim, but I have seen a reduction in muck, especially near the shallow areas. The overall clarity of the pond has not improved much, but that may be due in part to this being a continued treatment instead of treating for the first time.
