Bought this for the 2nd application in my 4500 gal Koi Pond. 1 Koi was gulping air and a few flashing. Water quality and oxygen is near perfect so the gulping was most likely flukes from what I could find online. I didnt want to try terminate as we are in a 100 degree heat wave and flukes are more likely to cause gulping then other parasites. The first application I used rubbing alcohol to mix as suggested by a local Koi person. He didnt tell me use very little so I used a lot…like 24oz. Put it in and Koi acted weird then I read Isopropanol is toxic and depletes oxygen. I quickly did a 1/2 water change thinking I just wasted $68 and killed my Koi. Surprisingly they were fine and actually saw a lot less flashing the next morning and the one gulping has been barely doing it all. 2 days later and virtually no flashing and barely gulping. I bought this for a second treatment 3 days later to knock these flukes out. Mixed it with Vodka this time and all is well. Should knock out what is left with this full dose as even diluted the 1st application seemed to work well. I did not turn off UV lights. The Koi guy that runs a business near me told me it MIGHT make it slightly less effective but he treats his ponds and commercial tanks without turning off UV and has no issues and it works still.
