I ordered this replacement battery & didn't try it for a couple mos, assumed not nessesary being new, figured battery would be good. So anyway, It only works plugged in, but will not work without cord in outlet.Guess I got a bad one in the batch. Def. recommend you test your battery asap for exchange or return before it's too late.

Received the battery and read the leaflet that said to discharge it and then recharge to 100% to "calibrate it." I did that but the computer was only showing about 1 hour of battery life with 100% charge. The original battery ran for at least 6 hours when new. I used the computer on battery power and it was down to 55% after about a half hour. Then it shut down without warning at about 53% battery left. I can restart the computer and I can log on, check the battery power (about 50%) and then within 10 seconds of logging on, it shuts down without warning. I contacted Amazon support and they guided me through things I had already done. Then they wanted me to run the diagnostic tool from HP to test the battery. I downloaded that and ran the test and it said that it could not run the test because the battery was >=90% charge even though the computer indicated 56%. I then check the logs from the test and it showed the voltage readings from cells 1, 2, and 3 to be around 4000 mV, but cell 4 showed 0 mV. This battery was definitely a DOA. I just ended up sending it back for a refund instead of dealing with an exchange.

My battery came as said and it is working fine on my laptop. The instructions was a bit not on point in calculating the battery volume during charging. When I right clicked as the instructions said there was no property for this but only for graphics. so I hope that letting the battery exhaust and then recharging it works, so far so good. The price was just right and should I need another product I will search for this seller.Thank YouRobin

Low price and it works in an older HP laptop. It fixed the problem of the battery being detected as present but not charging, so now the laptop can be used without having to have the power plug connected all the time. And, oddly enough, the new battery make the laptop run faster, since Windows 10 was "dumbing down" the CPU's power consumption because the battery capacity was listed as zero % available... while running on the power cord. Cheap alternative to replacing my sister-in-law's laptop (who lives 100's of miles away), as I was able, over the phone, to easily talk her through replacing the battery in her HP laptop.

The battery arrived very quickly and while I was satisfied with the shipping process, using it is a whole different story. The battery arrived on March 12, 2018 and within just 2 weeks of using it, the battery swelled up to a point where it just drops out of the laptop when I pick it up. It was definitely the correct model as it was working well for the initial period, and was able to fit into all the grooves of the compartment. Now, its raised out of the compartment such that it does not clip in and simply drops if I move/lift the laptop. If its any consolation, its still able to hold a charge up to 90-120 minutes depending on use. Still would not recommend this at all.**UPDATE**I was contacted by the seller regarding the faulty battery. They were able to ship out a replacement, which I have been using for the last couple of weeks. So far it has been working okay. I would give the battery 3 stars, but the seller had amazing customer service something that made up for the performance of the product.
