Update: 7/2020So we had to buy another one because after years it finally broke. Unfortunately what we got this time was not the same quality. It was broken right out of the box and just doesn’t seem to be a quality skeleton like last time. Maybe I got a dud, I’m not sure but either way I’m returning it as I can’t use a broken skeleton. So perfect for homeschooling! I did get the used version of this so for $23.00 you can't get any better! We are very satisfied with this! There are no missing pieces. There are a few bent bottom ribs but it doesn't effect it at all.

Box was full of ants that spilled out everywhere when I pulled out the skeleton. Fingers, toes, ribs and hips are amazingly detailed, but metacarpals and metatarpals are just stamped in. Wrists, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles move rather freely for closer examination. It feels sturdier than expected, after reading all the other reviews although I wouldnt necessarily take it to Martial Arts practice. Face and general skull were fit fine on mine. It was taller than I expected too, although I expected him to be hanging by the head, whereas he is actually sitting up on a pole, which is actually better. Pelvic, vertebral and rib bones and cartlage represent a model that would definitely be helpful to any anatomy student. I bought it, along with several laminated anatomical "cheat sheets" for my 15 yo daughter who I would love to inspire. Finally, both arms were on the wrong side and you will need a tiny phillips screwdriver to detach and swich them.

Great product for the price! I bought this as a study tool to learn bones, boney landmarks, and work on studying muscle attachments and actions. Couldn't have made it through the semester without this! Absolutely recommend for anyone needing to study bones and landmarks! Pretty accurate, although some landmarks are small. Well worth the money. It's a great idea to study with a 3D object, not just pictures and Mr. Thrifty makes it possible to do so in the comfort of your own home.Comes with a stand so he can "stand" up. I keep mine in a safe spot, but is pretty sturdy, as long as you don't try to break it. Withheld movement for osteokinematixs as well. (It has some "joints") Will be great for Halloween too, thinking about giving him his own costume! ;)My children also love looking at it. Great tool to teach them some bones too!

As a medical practitioner with a post-professional degree, I wish I would have had this during my program and even during basic high school/college A&P. It is a great tool and is large enough to find take note to almost all of the bony landmarks. It's great for kids and already have our kindergartener able to identify all of the bones (save the carpals/tarsals). I would buy this product 10x out of 10 especially for the price.

The skeleton is not "jointed" at the base of the skull; there is no movability of the skull on the cervical spine. Also, the discs are not shown well; made of the same material as the spine. I don't feel it shows a good representation of the discs, because of this.
