I used the mr. Heater extension hose to hook up to a propane tank and I am very impressed with how sensitive the low oxygen cut off is. We had a lit oil lamp just a foot from it. And it refused to stay lit. I turn the oil lamp off and it lit right away. We left our windows cracked open for air flow and were able to sleep comfortably in our currently non insulated home on the floor. We ran it for 6 days on low at night with a propane tank and did not run out. If you need to heat a small space off grid. I highly recommend this heater.

The heater is a nice addition to camping gear, but mine DID NOT come with the extension hose shown. Also, when using an extension (or disposable tank), it is important to know that the connection valve on the heater must be straight down or the unit will not operate.

This has become my favorite item to take with me. To keep myself warm while at the park, beach, hiking, camping or any cold locations that I can use my portable heater. I always get compliments and many questions but I can always say I am warm and love the easy transportation of the heater and it’s carrying case. It’s so light weight easy to use. I love the low and high heat to it. This comes in very handy for cold days watching my daughter on the softball field or while she’s cheering for the football games. The refill canisters are super easy just unsnap the top and screw the bottle in push it back down and it’s ready to go.

This worked wonderful in my deer hunting enclosed stand!! It was a 20° day when I got to use it! The only bad part is I only got about 30 mins of use out of it before I harvested a deer and that was the end of my season!! But heats a small area very nicely and easy to use!!Update: Dec 2019. I did find out this hunting season that the heater will run on low for approx 4 hours with a 1lb canister! Not sure exactly how long “high setting” lasts bc low was plenty of heat for me!! So I did buy the adapter hose to hook up to a 20lb tank!
