The DVAG30L Direct Vent Wall Heater from Ashley Hearth Products makes the perfect solution for zoned heating. The space saving direct vent furnace design mounts to an exterior wall and the adjustable vent assembly adjusts to fit walls from 4-1/2 inches to 10 inches thick. For clean, comfortable heat when and where you want it, the gas flame is completely sealed inside, away from all contact with room air. Air necessary for combustion is drawn into the chamber from outside through the vent and combustion products are vented directly to the outside. Only clean, gentle heat, in continuous circulation is delivered into the room. Windows and doors stay closed because no room air is used for combustion. The DVA30L direct vent propane wall furnace is designed to heat up to 825 Sq. Ft. and has a 25,000 BTU input.

This Ashley Hearth Products unit is sold by United State Stove Co., and actually manufactured in China. United States Stove does not stock nor do they expect to stock replacement part that was damaged in shipping, The damaged part was not located until after the return window. The damaged part was the Pilot Connection Tube which is identified and listed as a replacement part in the owners manual, but is not available. Thus, the unit cannot be operated and I am sitting on a $700 pile of junk. Do not waste your time or your money. Do not purchase from this company.

Bought this for my job trailer/mobile office that I converted into a mini off the grid cabin on our hunting property. We have the 11,000 btu units in out shower house, pump house and a couple of deer blinds and they work great and are basically silent. The 25,000 btu heater heats great and keeps our 8x32 trailer toasty even with -11 degree weather outside. The issue is that and I'm guessing at this, when the plenum heats and cools it sounds like a 12 guage shotgun blowing off. Its fun getting woken up 3-4 times a night by a big bam. I called customer service 2 times and was told there was nothing they can do they get scammed by too many people. I expressed my displeasure with this and was told well maybe you can take a video of the bangs and send that in, we might do something. This is 5 hours away from my house and is not a constant set your watch to it timing. So I guess i'm supossed to take a couple hours of video? Plus in the summer who wants to run the heater when its 80 outside. There is a problem, we have bought 8 Ashley Hearth heaters in the last 10 years and we have to jump through hoops, this is very disappointing.

Installation went ok. Noticed that the ignition switch would not work consistently. I ran for about an hour then we cannot get it to light. Ignition switch appears to be only working intermittently. Cannot find a parts source. Really regretting this purchase.

We got a quote from a HVAC company to install a wall heater just in our homeschool classroom. The quote was over $4000. We bought one of these 17,000 units for our classroom and one 25,000 unit for our basement living room for about $1000. We installed it ourselves and are very happy with both units. We do leave the pilot lit all the time because we find it quite difficult to get relit but it heats really well. The temperature gauge seems to be consistent and turns on and off automatically well. Overall, it's fairly quiet and we rarely notice it running. Definitely feel that we got a great deal!

Installation is the reason this unit gets knocked down a star The device just isn't an easy install. The parts that came with it weren't enough and there were several places where there were leaps in the instructions that needed to be fired out to proceed. The depth measurements for the exhaust pipe also were longer than they should be.Once it was installed, it puts off a ton of heat. The instructions say 425 square feet even though the details here said 850.
