This is a nicely constructed transmission oil pan. It fits as it should and has a quality chrome finish and most important to me, a drain plug. I bought this pan for a new to me 1989 Corvette which had been neglected. I will probably do a couple of transmission fluid flushed but do not feel the need to change the oil filter for every one of those. Having the drain plug allows for a very easy transmission fluid change and probably more frequent changes than would otherwise happen. On this model of Corvette there is a frame cross member which needs to be removed to change the transmission oil with the old style oil pan. It is a fair amount of extra work! That is not necessary with this pan. The only negative is that the gasket which came with the pan is made of cork. I much prefer a rubber gasket. However, the transmission filter that I purchased had a rubber gasket so no real problem there. Overall a great addition to facilitate more frequent transmission fluid changes.
