This thing is a complete deception in advertising. Read the heading of the ad. One would think that if this has a "waterproof cover" as stated, you would thing, with the rubber cover on, it's waterproof. In the directions that come with it, clearly says not waterproof. Goes one further and says when not in use (on the bike) to take it off. That's funny. They give you zip ties to attach to your bike. What do they expect, cut the zip ties and remove every time you get on your bike? Then re zip tie every time you get back on. Not at all what I was looking for.

Recently, I picked up another one of these SAE to USB connectors to add to my motorcycle. I currently have them on several bikes, and I’m picking up another dual sport, which will soon be wearing this one.I love the design as it lays flat and I can sneak it up and zip tie it all the way up my frame and to my handlebars. There’s a voltmeter on the little USB box, which comes in incredibly handy for monitoring your battery drain. That being said, I also love the fact that I have both USB and USB-C. USB-C is quickly becoming the standard for everything these days, but there is still enough USB devices that comes in very handy to have both.The quality of these is fantastic, and they don’t short out easily at all. I’ve been riding for last couple years with two of them on my KLR, It comes in incredibly handy with the fact that I can plug it straight into my battery tender lead.I’m so glad I picked one of these, they are incredibly useful. Don’t hesitate.

It charges my devices quickly and fits perfectly on my bike. The build quality is solid, and it’s weather-resistant, so I don’t worry about the elements.

This USB charger was easy to install and use. The included extra cable allowed me to route the wire from my handlebars down to the base of the seat, where my battery tender/SAE connector is exposed. I use that connector to charge my bike, but I can easily switch it to the cable for the USB charger. I used the provided zip ties to attach the charger to my handlebars, where I plug in my phone or GPS.The USB charger has two ports, so I use one to charge my phone and the other to power my GPS. The voltage display lets me know if I’ve forgotten to connect the charger before heading out on my ride. I appreciate that this USB charger comes with everything needed for installation—an extra SAE power cable and zip ties. It also has a rubber cover to protect the USB ports from dust and bad weather, which should help it last a long time.I like how well it works and how easy it was to install, which is why I gave it a high rating.
