Metal Housing
The Housing is metal not plastic, much heavier and more durable than others. Corrosion resistant and IP67 waterproof.
Protective Pad
The high-quality lens is embedded in the metal housing and there is a soft protective pad between them to to avoid collision damage.
Thicker Wires
Thicker wires are more durable and easier to wire. Attach directly to existing wiring without cutting or splicing.

It's hardly a dim light at best and to make matters worse it's a dull red. Brake and tail lamps work fine. I did have to RTV seal where the wires enter the housing but not to big a deal. If you expect a real plate light though...keep shopping

...man, I love the design of this tail light, but am working on installing the 3rd unit...the problem is the cheap body casting..the slightest bump and crack!

It works if you’re looking for a cheap LED option for a taillight. The housing feels crazy cheap and the LED circuit board is held in place by a glob of hot glue that broke off and it would just rattle around in the housing. I ended up buying another option from lowbrow customs, a company that doesn’t sell trash.
