very easy to install i just took it to a shop to get bled. i would buy this over any overpriced footbrake for a surron. i also put a hope tech v4 as the caliper and you need a banjo for it and a couple other things

Really good for the price i paired it with a hope tech caliper with a factory z braided brake line. This is not something to do if you’re a beginner. To bleed it buy a dot4 Mtb brake bleed kit you want the syringe with the tube. To bleed unscrew the reservoir cap and inject fluid through the rear caliper and pull the fluid back and forth a couple of times. There a couple videos on YouTube.

My son loves working on his Sur Ron, always looking for ways to amp up his rides. He can do some really awesome tricks on the bike and I figured this hydraulic foot brake kit would be a fun mod. However, it's not as "breezy" to set up as we thought, despite what the product description suggested. There weren't any instructions included, so we were left to figure it out on our own, which isn't exactly ideal. Turns out, we're missing some crucial parts to finish the setup that we need to purchase. It would've been nice if there were tips included to let us know what parts would be needed. So we're stuck in limbo until we can get our hands on these extra pieces. It's a bit frustrating, to say the least. But once we get everything sorted, I'm sure my son will come up with some new tricks.

The product arrived fast and packaged nice, made with good quality, however when I’m riding the brake lever will sometimes get stuck which is kinda inconvenient, and you’re not able to use a bar in between the pegs to make them sturdier, I would buy again if I had to, but would look for another option first.

At first I was excited to put a foot brake on my Surron. However, there are some issues with this foot brake that are not apparent until you get into it and do your research. The main issue with this brake is that the master cylinder is designed for DOT fluid while the Surron brakes are designed to use Mineral oil. This is a huge problem because mineral oil brakes and DOT fluid brakes are not compatible with each other and using the wrong brake fluid will lead to premature failure which is not something you want on an electric bike that can go 50mph.Due to the master cylinder's requirement for DOT fluid, this dramatically limits the calipers you can use with this brake. As far as I know, the only option is the Hope Tech V4 caliper which is made for use with DOT fluid. Otherwise, you would have to get a MX caliper adapter so that a dirt bike caliper can be mounted on the Surron which costs several hundred dollars, not including the caliper. This means that you cannot use this foot brake unless you spend several hundred more dollars on a Hope Tech caliper or do a full MX brake conversion. This is 100% something the seller should make clear in their listing. I've heard of some sellers telling buyers to just put mineral oil in these brakes but that is a very bad idea. It might work initially, but the seals in the master cylinder will wear out over time if used with mineral oil. And I'm not super confident in this master cylinder to begin with because it is obviously made from chinesium.Unless you already have Hope Tech V4 calipers or MX brakes, I would suggest staying far away from this foot brake. From what I can tell, this is the same foot brake master cylinder as all the other ones on the market and none of them should be used with the stock calipers. You need DOT calipers to use this. I am hugely disappointed. The only reason I don't give this product 1 star is because brackets seem to be decent quality and they included the required adapter and brake line to install the Hope Tech V4 caliper. A lot of similar foot brake kits don't include that part and its very confusing to track down the proper brake line.I would suggest you avoid this product unless you have a Hope Tech V4 or MX brakes on your Surron already. It is not a plug and play replacement at all.
