Perfect fit for my 2004 E450. Prompt shipment and fit perfect. Didn't need the extra pigtail, but new switch fixed my cruise control problems...works like a charm now. Thanks!

A few years ago, I had the Ford recall done on my 2000 Ford F150 and they put the harness in. They had the in-line two amp fuse recently. The fuse blew out due to brake fluid leaking through the connector and shorting out the system installing this resolve the issue and this is also the latest revision from Ford replacing the previous recall.

I bought this to fix a brake fluid leak that seemed to be coming out of the old switch in my 2002 F-250 Super Duty. I did not realize this also fixed a 10 year old issue I've had with my cruise control not working. I got an estimate from a repair shop for over $250 to replace this switch. It took me longer to clean the brake fluid residue and unravel the old wire harness wrap and remove the old pigtail than it did to actually remove and replace the switch. Very happy with the results and saving about $200 in shop labor for something almost a simple as changing a light bulb.

This fixed the cruise control on my 2002 (10th gen) F150 XLT. It was super easy to install, and can easily be done in a few minutes. My cruise control works now.As an added bonus, because the old sensor was leaking, the brakes are more firm.

2001 F150 King Ranch. Cruise Control stopped working. This fixed it in 5 min. Watch the YouTube videos. It's an OEM part fix that replaced my "recall" dealer fix from years ago. Might want to do it as a prep for what WILL HAPPEN.

By purchasing this recall package you getthe best possible price on the part. Other locations on Amazon it costs a lot more and you do not get the wire connector. To install, use a crow foot wrench on an extention. Torque speck for install in a Ford2008, F-250, 6.4 diesel engine is 18 foot pounds. Fairly eazy remove and install.

Great fix for the outdated sensor. Wiring harness is direct plug and play, and comes with zip tie to secure wiring neatly.

In my 98 Ranger I had a blown #2 fuse in the old wiring harness from the old leaking switch. New fuses with the new switch would blow instantly until I swapped out the fused wiring harnesses for the new one. The old fuse and wires were mushy from the leaking brake fluid. This is a replacement for specifically for that. Buy both the switch with the new jumper wire if your fuse is blown. It’s cheaper that way even. Use a bit of teflon tape on the threaded side going into the master cylinder and the rest of the connections are squeeze apart style. The new harness is shorter than the old fused one too. That’s just fine, it saves room. No fuse needed in this stretch with the updated switch. The blue tag on the old wiring harness said “This jumper harness contains an internal fuse that is not serviceable. If this harness is damaged, or if the fuse is blown, remove or discard this harness and install service kit #9F924”. I couldn’t find those numbers, but this “service kit” worked. It’s a Motorcraft factory part. The cruise control is working now, I don’t know why I waited so long. Easy, cheap project.

My cruise control on my 2001 F-150 had went out. I went through the Ford diagnostic to determine that the problem was possibly in my braking system.See the following URL to perform the diagnostic test:[...]There is a sensor that is located in you master cylinder that discontinues the cruise when you engage your brake pedal, even if it is just a slight bump of the brake. The sensor switch in the master cylinder was part of a recall by Ford in the early to mid 2000's. If you still have the original sensor it is probably orange colored, as mine was. The new sensor as shown looks different and is not colored. Ford at the time of the recall didn't replace all the sensors as long as they were not leaking. I removed the wire harness from my sensor and found that it had brake fluid in the area of the wire harness. The sensor was effectively open and the cruise system would not engage due to the component failure. You will have to remove your old sensor with an end wrench. Screw in the new sensor quickly. Ensure that your master cylinder is properly filled with brake fluid before you begin. I lost just a very small amount of brake fluid when I removed the old sensor. I didn't have to bleed air from my brake system when I was done. The wiring harness you receive in the kit will plug into your new sensor and then into your existing truck wiring harness. You receive a wire tie with the new kit, I ended using an additional wire tie to ensure the new harness was properly secured.I restarted my truck to test my brakes. I took my truck onto the highway and cruise function was restored. This is kit is relatively inexpensive and saved me hundreds in taking my truck to Ford to have my cruise repaired.I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who cruise control has failed and you have determined your deactivator switch might be bad.
