This is listed as a part for my car, however, it wasn’t the case. Does not work with my application

Excellent oem replacement part for my 1992 F150 5.8. Easy installation.....just need a little time to solder the connector.

When it comes to certain Ford repair parts, you should use original Motorcraft parts. This is one of those parts! I learned the hard way. When I put this part in, my OBS F150 finally runs like it should!

Installed on a 1993 F150 4.9L engine with 336K miles. I don't know why these coolant sensors fail, but they do. This is probably my fourth. I wanted to install the OEM Motorcraft part because I've found the 3rd party electrical parts to be mostly junk. The electrical connector isdifferent so I had to install the included pigtail. The wires are easily accessible, there's no polarity, the instructions said to solder if thewires are thin, so I did, and the adhesive lined shrink tubing included worked great. There's a big difference in the wrench size you useto install the sensor into the engine, but don't fear - it threads right in. See photo of old and new sensors.Update January 2022: Now at 405K miles and replacing it again. Lasted 5.5 years and 69K miles.

It works. The connector it uses is not the same as the stock sensor. It came with a new pig tail though so it worked out well.
