I bought this case when I started violin lessons, and I walk to my lesson, and I'm gentle with the case. I'm not just throwing it in the car or the ground, when I'm not using it, I leave the case on a spare bed, so the case should still be in good quality, but within 3 or so weeks the straps broke and the case fell off my back and onto the ground. It's also very hard to fit my shoulder rest in the case.

Bought this only for storage. Not designed for a quality instrument. Floor and ceiling are hard. Latch is very week. No ribbon to keep the top from folding back and breaking the hinges. Can't expect much for this price.

It is very light weight -- so much so that I worry it might be flimsy. the storage for most items is fine, but the pocket on top for sheet music can only hold 2 thin books, which is not what I was hoping for. Still trying to decide if I want to return this or keep it.
