I missed the part of the description about needing batteries to operate. So I am a little disappointed that I had to put batteries in it. I am NOT disappointed at the look of this beautifully mosaic mushroom light. It is 7 inches tall and the cap is 6 inches around. It takes 3 AAA batteries. To get the timer started you must either set it for 4 or 6 hours and turn it on for the first time at the time that you want it to come on at the same time every night. I don’t know how long the batteries will last at the 4 hour setting but I will enjoy it while it lasts.

This is a gorgeous piece of mosaic glass! There are a few flaws in the workmanship though. One place in particular looks like it may have been repaired at some point because the white caulking is missing and there is a sharp piece of glass in that area. But unless you are looking closely, you don't notice it. Just be careful in case there are any jagged edges protruding though, because this is glass.All the photos were made inside during the day. The first photo was taken with the overhead light on. The others were taken with the light off. The close up images are to give you an idea of what I mean about flaws in the craftsmanship.It says there are three switches in the listing. There is one switch with three functions. In the middle position the light is off. In the 4H position it will stay on for 4 hours and repeat that cycle every day at the same time until the batteries dies. In the 6H position it does the same thing as the 4H position but stays on for 6 hours.The stake sits flush to the ground once it is inserted into the mushroom. The stake that comes with it has a round piece that fits up inside the bottom of the statue and covers the power switch and battery door. I don't know if it is a fact, but it seems to me that this would protect the power function from water to some degree.Overall it is a nice piece. But I believe the price point is a bit too high. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is because of the imperfections in the workmanship.

This Solar mushroom is a fantastic and artful addition to our garden! It is made of mosaic glass pieces and after a day in the sun it lights up so beautifully! This mushroom is a beautiful and bright addition to my patio garden , the colors are cheerful the lights are nice and bright, I use it as a table lamp,the timer give you 4 or 6 hours, it is a quality is strong the timer functions perfectly and the right size for a table lamp!

This mosaic mushroom is gorgeous. I actually prefer the way it looks during the day, but it is cool at night too. It actually looks even more beautiful in person than it did in the pictures. It would be really cool if it was solar, but it requires batteries.

This is such a beautiful light! It's not super bright so it wont annoy any neighbors or animals. The light switch has a timer on it so it doesnt waste batteries in the day time. I do wish it had a light sensor and solar power though so I wouldnt have to change batteries. It gets noticed by everyone that comes over almost immediately and I've had several complements on it so far. It's sturdy as well! My farm animals have yet to break it which is a huge relief. It's just very pleasant overall to have in the yard.
