Make sure measurements are correct for your needs. Lock ordered to replace old one in patio, took me 5 mins not even that in total to replace. Installed working flawlessly, hope it lasts a long time.

This new lock fit better worked better and operated smoother than the old lock (when it was working) The only thing I would caution a first time installer is to watch an installation video before installing Very helpfully!!

From the appearance and feel, you could tell immediately this latch was of a much better quality than what came installed with my expensive patio doors. I paid extra for them and the door always has play allowing anyone to simply pull out and up to open the doors. No more!Once installed, this latch locks in place real solidly. For the low cost, I thought I was buying a "get me by" as other local "brand names" were as high as $70! I now know I do not need to pay that. For a mere fraction of the cost I got the mortise latch, and two new screws to secure it into the door. It wasn't as easy to install, but that's the nature of these latches. As far as easy of use in it's function, the lock has never worked so smoothly! It comes in a great quality zinc coating that looks great and I don't fear it'll corrode any time soon, especially since it pulls the door closed as it's intended to be. I highly recommend this mortise latch.Maybe tie a string to it so you don't drop it into the patio door like I did the old one.

It was smaller than the original and was difficult to install. I made it fit but I am unsure as to how long it will hold up.

Fits a 1990s wood veneer faux divided light Pella patio door. Sorry, I don't have the model number. I wouldn't say it was an exact fit, but it was certainly close enough to work fine. If it had been assembled more precisely, it would be an exact fit. I attribute the deviation to assembly issues rather than design specifications. It was clearly made to mimic the original part.The part arrived a day late, but that was the post office's doing and not anything to do with Amazon. The USPS gave me a "Notice Left (No Secure Location Available)" listing on the tracking page, which is a fib on both accounts. No notice was left, apparently because they made no attempt to deliver it on a Sunday, and there is no listing of it being "out for delivery," which is the giveaway. Remind me never to order something scheduled to arrive on that day of the week. It's just not worth the annoyance.Generally speaking, I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

With the price of new handles, I chose to try to replace the defective part. This went right in easily, solved my problem at 1/3 the cost of a new handle. Word of caution, if you try this be sure to hold the old part with vice grips when removing to avoid it slipping into the void.
