I don’t know who the genius was that invented the trap door on them Moroso 20403 oil pan. All it does is hold the oil back in that area trap door didn’t work as it was supposed to causing low oil pressure had to pull the motor to get the pan off. What a joke cut the trap door out. Everything was OK don’t buy it..

The pan is so poorly made it needed modifications right out of the box. The windage tray interfered with the 4 bolt mains. The end of the pan didn’t cover all of the rear gasket. I sent pictures and called Moroso only to be told “it might seal use it”. Why should I settle for a defective $500 oil pan? The factory could have cared less about the poor quality.

Extremely poor quality, I should have sent it back but figured I could fix what I thought were a few minor issues but ended up spending way too much time on fixing the problems.The zinc plating was poor and bare metal was showing in numerous places. I could have welded this oil pan better when I was in grade school with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back.The oil pan bolt holes were not even close and took a lot of time to open up so the oil pan would bolt up. The front two holes were almost a 1/4" off from fitting.The windage reduction flanges hit the main caps and stud nuts and I had to cut out small sections and bend other areas so it would no longer hit.Overall not a very good oil pan but useable if you are willing to fix the problems yourself.
