First time, trying needle punching. Great kit. Had everything I needed! Learned it is important to keep the thread loose so it can easily thread without being pulled back out. Such a fun project!

The cats in this coaster set are so cute! the instructions are easy to follow, the yarn is abosorbent, and the circle style is a great way to show off the cats face. I also like that it is different breeds of cat and not just the same pattern pyut over and over again. There is a little concern that he finished coaster is not stiff enough but its still the right size and still keeps the condesation of the tables.

I was excited to work on a new project, I’ve never done punch needling before! I got to the point where I needed to thread the puncher and quickly realized that they provided an incorrect sized threader. This one in pic is way too small, it’s supposed to be able to go the entire length of the punch threader to snag the yarn and pull it back to the sharp end. I now need to look for one that will work, which means this project will go in the “maybe in future” pile.I can’t speak to weather the thread puncher is too big or yarn not correct because of not having all the partsWhat I did like: all other accurate supplies were provided. Each bag contained yarn and stenciled fabric ready to go. I like that it provided needles and embroidery floss to pretty it up before adding a the provided felt backing for the coasterI’m hopeful I’ll remember to grab a threader in the future so I can start this project!

The punch needle was much too large for the aida cloth that the kit came with. A smaller gauge needle and thread would be much better. I've ordered a smaller needle. Will see how that goes.

These 6 punch needle coasters come packaged separately. This is great because you don't have to figure out which colors of the yarn you are suppose to use for each one. I really like that that they finished the edges of the fanric on each one of the designs. This will insure that the fabric of your project won't be unraveling when you handle it during sticking. There is a piece of adhesive backed felt for each to finish off the back and will be the underside of the coaster. Included in the kit is an embroidery hoop, the punch needle with a threader, several regular needles and a needle threader, embroidery floss and instructions. They have taken care to make sure these will be as easy as possible to have success, even if its your first time trying this type of needle work. I look forward to trying this craft.

No adequate instructions, no information on the size needle in the kit- no one could get this project going, 5 people worked at it and stitches kept a coming out no matter what we did. Even used a utube video.Waste of money- and a major disappointment in trying a new craft project.I dislike punch needle VERY MUCH.Finally found DMC floss is the medium needed- after spending 27.00 on cheap yarn that’s too heavy for the project. Fabric ruined.Don't buy this kit.

Needle threader is way too small, impossible to use and makes the whole kit useless.
