Updating again January 30th. After unplugging and plugging back in the heater it has been running perfect since, so I have upgraded my review. This heater is Awesome Again and I love it. I can highly recommend it now, as long as it remains perfect.Update Jan 5: having problems with the heater shutting off and not coming back on, when using the Eco mode. It was perfect until last night. Might have to return it.This space heater is absolutely perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. It heats up instantly and it has an ECO mode which is thermostat regulated, so you can set the temperature you want and it will turn off when it reaches it and turn back on when it recognizes the air is cooler. The remote is handy for me, because I can control it from my bed. I bought it specifically for my bedroom, but would love to have another for my living room. You definitely need to read the instructions and play around with the features. If you don't pick it up, it will keep your Eco temperature setting, but if you pick it up, that resets it. There's a safety feature on the bottom that shuts it off immediately.I highly recommend this little heater. The only drawback for me is the wattage. My infrared heaters are 800W, so function in an outlet with other items. This one is 1500W and blew the breakers in my house in 3 different rooms. The house is to blame I'm sure, horribly wired and old, but just a word of caution. I recently learned that electrical outlets have a wattage limit. Haha! Who knew?! And apparently so do the breakers.

The reviews raved about this heater and I couldn’t agree more! I love how it’s sleek and small design. For it to be small it will heat up a room in no time. I like that it has a remote and it’s light weight. It doesn’t smell like it’s hot even after running it for hours like most heaters. It has several settings: rotation, timer, fan mode H1 and H2. It’s definitely a great heater for the price point. If you live it or if it tips over it has automatic shut off. I definitely recommend, 10/10 for me!

As someone with a background in electronics and as an electrician, I wasn't surprised to read some of the reviews complaining of overheating or melted cords. Here's the problem.... When this arrived I turned it on, and although the heater element turned on, the fan did NOT! Should you ever get a fan-based heater in which the fan isn't turning, shut it off *immediately*. This applies to any space heater.I let out a sigh when the fan didn't turn. However, since my furnace was on the fritz, (which only happens on the coldest day of the year... amirite?!) I decided to unplug it and open it up since I really needed heat. Here's the problem with devices like this... If you look inside, you'll see they use plugs and jacks for some of the connections. While that's fine in principle, it can cause problems if the device gets really cold during shipping. As you may know, cold causes metal to contract, and that can affect connections. All I did was move the plugs a bit in their jacks, I didn't disconnect anything. Put it back together and it works like a charm. So I'm taking off a star for the design, since it would be better to have the wires soldered to the board, instead of plugged in via jacks. If that's too costly, they they should use 'PIN' receptacles, instead of modular ones. They're more reliable and less likely to fail in conditions like this. Here's the thing... I know they would have tested this before it left the factory, and I'm sure it worked then. But they can't control the temperature as it is being shipped.Just a note, when you plug in ANY heater, pay close attention to the resistance you get when you push the plug into your wall socket. If the plug slides in without any real resistance, do NOT use that wall socket. That is a fire risk. When devices draw power, they need a good connection. If the connection is poor they will 'heat up'. When you plug in a heater, you want to feel like you need to use *effort* to plug in the device. If a wall socket has no resistance when you plug something in, it needs to be replaced. With the device running for the last hour, it is pumping out heat, and oscillating nicely. The remote worked fine from a distance of 10 feet. There is a mechanical anti-tip 'button' on the bottom of the unit, instead of a 'level' sensor. This is helpful if you have an uneven surface. So long as the bottom is sitting flush on a hard surface, it will run. When I first used the device, there was no 'smell' like you get with some devices.

I work in an office setting located in a larger warehouse, so temperature regulation is always an issue. My desk is located in front of a wall mounted heating unit located below a large bank of windows, so the windows effectively negate the heat given off by the heating unit. I was looking for something small but effective to keep me warm. This Morento Space Heater is perfect. Not only do I love the heating power of the unit, the size is perfect for office use. I also like the oscillation feature (which allows me to share the heat with the person at the desk next to mine). The remote is also convenient for sharing the heat as it allows the unit to be placed further away and doesn't require you to get up to make adjustments. I also like that there are multiple modes (fan, high, low and eco) and the memory function (where the heater remembers the last settings used). However, the best part about this heater are the safety features. First, there is the auto-off timer, which is essential in an office environment (set for 8 hours and forget). There is also the 24-hour auto off feature (in case you forget to set the timer), and tip-over protection, in which the unit shuts off if knocked over (already proven to be priceless when someone accidentally kicked out) The heater also shuts off automatically if it overheats. I would definitely buy this again and will definitely recommend to friends and other coworkers.

So this year I decided that instead of keeping the whole house at 66-68°F, to save costs I'd drop it to 64° and use a space heater in whatever room I'd be spending time. So I walked around my local Menard's and what I saw was either too expensive for my budget or just straight up junk. So I gave Amazon a browse and came across this Morento and decided to give it a go. For $40 it seemed like the right price:feature ratio. Boy was I spot on!First off, the construction is excellent. Thoughtfully designed and constructed with solid materials. The design itself is modern and simple, which for my aesthetics I appreciate. But the star of the show is how well it works. This little unit CRANKS out the heat. I can get a "normal" sized room from 64° to 70° in just a few minutes, and it manages the temp over time perfectly. The remote is a bonus when it's across the room, so no need to get up and change things, all functions are on the remote. It also swivels, if desired. For safety, there's a small circular foot on the bottom, highlighted in red in my photo, which is an auto-shutoff in case doggo gets too playful and knocks it over.I will be buying several of these to give as gifts this year. The price is right, it's pleasant and unobtrusive to look at, and works like a beast, easily pulling twice its weight for its size. I *highly* recommend the Morento to anyone looking for a compact powerhouse of a space heater at a great price.
