It matches what the description says, a small insulation sleeve that is to be cut and wrapped around the fuel injector that suffers from excessive heat radiating from the exhaust manifold. However, it might be better to explore other options that are available at your local auto parts store. Shipping took 18 days from order to receipt, which is ridiculous even for a USPS delivery.

Worked. A little on the expensive side for what it is but worked on my 2005 LJ to protect #3 fuel injector.

I like the material and how easy was to cut the item so it can fit the fuel injector.

Along with the Genuine Chrysler 53013669AA Exhaust Manifold Shield, this cleared up my 2004 Jeep TJ’s dreaded “heat soak” issue that caused the cylinder 3 misfire. No more misses, no more codes and the Jeep runs like a scalded dog again!

Good quantity insulator. I installed this on my 2000 WJ which was giving me P300, P301, and P302 codes. I only experience the misfire issue once per year at the same location. I put off installing this shield for several years since the problem was so infrequent. Unfortunately I won't know if this helped until I visit the same location next year but suspect this will correct the issue.

My Dad's Cherokee has been throwing a check engine code (cylinder 3 miss-fire) and having a problem for years...missing when very hot and driving in traffic. Garage could not figure it out. I went onto Jeep forum and they shared the Jeep Tech Bulletin about the issue with the # 3 fuel injector overheating and that this would solve it. I bought it, installed it, and it surely did solve the problem! A chronic issue we have been dealing with for years was solved by a $8 piece of fiberglass insulation/tubing. A design change of the intake manifold in 99 causes heat to gather at the #3 injector causing vapor lock in hot weather.

Was getting the #3 injector heat soak on my 2000 TJ in the hot desert heat. This completely solved it. Found a youtube video that explained the proper way to install this.
