My mechanic used these when installing new upper control arms in my 2002 2WD F150. He said these gave him much more alignment ability than was built into the truck originally.

Concept, construction and function are quite good. However, my DYI experience indicated the need for me in my application to be particularly attentive since a change to camber will also change the caster and vice-versa, so when changing one of those setting (caster/camber), be attentive to the effect that it has on the other.

Easy to install. You need two set to do both sides. I didn't even have to take my tires off to install them. I used a magnetic camber gauge stuck to the brake rotors through the wheels and adjusted camber with the suspension under load.

So here's the deal from the factory ford sent these trucks out with shims in the upper control arm bolts to align them. Pretty much a pain since no alignment shops carry them. When replacing my upper control arms the bolts in the front were siezed in the bushings (rusted). Had to cut them out anyway. Ordered these and they are awesome direct fit took it to alignment shop and they had no problem tweaking the alignment. Used anti siezed on the bushing insert so I don't end up cutting them out again.

So apparently the truck I bought had not been aligned since it left the factory. These are how you adjust camber and caster because the factory uses square plates. I purchased these and installed when replacing the upper control arms and I figured the alignment shop would charge me an arm and a leg. I was shocked to see these were HALF THE PRICE of the local major car parts chain store.

I purchased the Moog K8740 Cam Bolt kit for my 97 ford expedition 4x4. Although a pain to put, they fit perfectly, and the alignment guy said the worked great. I replaced these as part of replacing the upper control arm with upper ball joint. My upper ball joint was bad and alignment techs had been complaining the last few times. I recommend changing this bolt with the upper control arm but taking the time to mark the existing alignment bolt before removing them and transfer the markings to these new bolts/washers. Worked great for me and my truck was well enough aligned to drive around for a couple weeks before I took it in for alignment.

Installed this on a 2003 For F150 and it worked great! The old cam bolts were so rusted and corroded they made it hard to adjust for alignment. And as long as you're replacing these, you're already doing half the work to replace the Upper Control Arm. So if you have over 100K miles you might as well replace that while you're at it because you'll get new upper ball joint and control arm bushings (my UCA bushings were all dried and cracked). The control arms are only about $60/ea, so not much more than the ball joint & bushings would cost by themselves, and it's MUCH easier to install than pressing out the old bushings and ball joint and installing the new ones.
